In December 2007, the Nonesuch Store opened at nonesuch.com with just a couple of new releases. Now, nine years later, the store has grown to include hundreds of new and classic Nonesuch albums. To celebrate this anniversary, everything now on the site that's out now—CDs, LPs, DVDs, MP3s, FLAC, and merchandise; pre-orders excluded—is 15% off our everyday low prices. That's 15% off the already discounted prices listed on the site on hundreds of CDs, dozens of recordings on vinyl, some unforgettable DVDs, and hundreds of MP3s—including classic recordings no longer in print—and, for digital audiophiles, scores of FLAC lossless and HD FLAC files too; plus our new line of Nonesuch merchandise. The total savings will be reflected at checkout.

    Congratulations to composer and pianist Timo Andres on receiving the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center's Elise L. Stoeger Prize—a $25,000 cash prize, awarded biennially by CMS to recognize significant contributions to the field of chamber music composition.     David Longstreth’s Song of the Earth, a song cycle for orchestra and voices, is due April 4. Performed by Longstreth with his band Dirty Projectors—Felicia Douglass, Maia Friedman, Olga Bell—and the Berlin-based chamber orchestra s t a r g a z e, conducted by André de Ridder, the album also features Phil Elverum (Mount Eerie), Steve Lacy, Patrick Shiroishi, Anastasia Coope, Tim Bernardes, Ayoni, Portraits of Tracy, and the author David Wallace-Wells. Longstreth says that while Song of the Earth—his biggest-yet foray into the field of concert music—"is not a ‘climate change opera,’” he wanted to “find something beyond sadness: beauty spiked with damage. Acknowledgement flecked with hope, irony, humor, rage.”
