The band was also featured on the cover of The Guardian’s Guide supplement over the weekend, in which they are the subject of a feature article available at theguardian.com. And in the Independent, Turn Blue was an early Album of the Week, earning a perfect five-star rating. “A post-modern blues-rock marvel which takes some of the core elements of rock ’n’ roll and casts them in new shapes,” says the Independent music critic Andy Gill of the album. “With Auerbach’s falsetto croon floating over Carney’s variously propulsive grooves, there’s an ever-expanding diversity of appeal to Turn Blue that should win new fans and please the faithful.” Read more at independent.co.uk.
