On Wednesday, The Black Keys perform on BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe. The band is featured on the cover of the new issue of Mojo magazine (pictured at left), and Turn Blue is Album of the Month in Uncut, which exclaims: “Turn Blue turns out to be The Black Keys’ sneakiest, subtlest and most seductive album.” The Independent gives it five stars, calling it "a post-modern blues-rock marvel."
The Black Keys arrived in Europe over the weekend, performing “Fever,” the first single off their forthcoming album, Turn Blue, on Che Tempo Che Fa on Italy’s Rai 3 Sunday night, which you can watch at rai.tv. Band mates Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney have now made their way to London, where they will perform on BBC Two’s Later … with Jools Holland tonight at 10 PM. Fans in the UK can tune in then to see the band perform “Fever” off the new album, due out May 12 on Nonesuch Records. Turn Blue is Album of the Month in the June issue of Uncut, which exclaims: “Turn Blue turns out to be The Black Keys’ sneakiest, subtlest and most seductive album.”
