The Low Anthem is back on the road with several dates in Europe in the coming coming week. Closer to home, the band has been nominated for three Boston Music Awards: Act of the Year, Album of the Year, and Song of the Year, making it one of only two bands with all three. Spinner has named "Charlie Darwin" its Video of the Day; Magnet says: "The song’s lush harmonies and sparse instrumental sound combined with the video’s strange desultory main character convey a certain sorrow that will haunt you for days on end."

The Low Anthem, after a very brief respite that followed a month's tour of the States with Blind Pilot, is back on the road with several dates in Europe in the coming coming week. Up next is a sold-out set at The Tabernacle in London tomorrow night.

Closer to home, the band has been nominated for three Boston Music Awards (BMA): Act of the Year; Album of the Year, for its Nonesuch debut, Oh My God, Charlie Darwin; and Song of the Year for the album track "The Horizon Is a Beltway." That makes the band one of just two groups, with Passion Pit, to be nominated in all three categories this year. The BMA benefits The Music Drives Us Foundation, which works to promote music education, preservation, and awareness throughout New England.

You can vote for your favorites now through November 30 at thebostonmusicawards.com. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony, which will be held at Boston's Liberty Hotel on December 2.

Spinner has named as its Video of the Day the official video for "Charlie Darwin," from Oh My God, Charlie Darwin. Magnet magazine has published the video as well, exclaiming: "The song’s lush harmonies and sparse instrumental sound combined with the video’s strange desultory main character convey a certain sorrow that will haunt you for days on end."
