A new, five-track digital EP is out now, featuring music from the recording sessions for the album Toumani & Sidiki, a rare father-and-son collaboration between kora master Toumani Diabaté and his son Sidiki, the instrument’s emerging star. The EP extends the collection and explores further what happens "when two geniuses bridge generations" (Los Angeles Times).

Earlier in 2014, in a rare father-and-son collaboration, Toumani Diabaté, genius of African music and widely recognized as the greatest living kora player, recorded Toumani & Sidiki, an album of duets with his son Sidiki, the instrument’s emerging star. Now, World Circuit has released a further five tracks from the original recording sessions as a digital-only EP, available in North America via Nonesuch Records.

Since its release, the full-length album Toumani & Sidiki has received unanimous praise, being described by the Quietus as "one of the best albums of the year so far," "extraordinarily beautiful" by the Independent, and "'gently exquisite" by the Guardian. The new five-track EP extends the collection and explores further what happens "when two geniuses bridge generations" (Los Angeles Times).

Jeremy Denk's album Ives Denk is out now. Released in celebration of the 150th anniversary of Ives' birth this Saturday, it features the composer's four violin sonatas, performed with violinist Stefan Jackiw, as well as remastered versions of his Sonatas No. 1 and 2 for piano, from Denk's debut recording, Jeremy Denk Plays Ives. "Mr. Denk's playing exuded affinity for Ives and vivid imagination," the New York Times says. "Mr. Jackiw, deftly balancing fervor and elegance, beautiful tone and earthy colorings, proved a comparably inspired Ivesian." Denk writes of Ives' music in the Times: "Its animating idea is generous: A restless search to find more in America than we thought, or even hoped, to find ... His best advice—advice we could all use—is to open your ears."
