Yesterday brought news of the addition of a number of new dates to Wanda Jackson's US tour, featuring music from her Third Man / Nonesuch Records debut, The Party Ain't Over, produced by Jack White. Now comes the release of a new video of Jackson and the Third Man Band, with Jack White on guitar, performing "Riot in Cell Block #9," recorded at the premiere album-release show on January 18 at Third Man's Music City studio. Yesterday brought news of the addition of a number of new dates to Wanda Jackson's tour of the United States, featuring music from her Third Man / Nonesuch Records debut, The Party Ain't Over, produced by Jack White. The US tour is set to kick off when she returns from her current European tour later this month and will run through April. Now comes the release of a new video of Jackson and the Third Man Band, with Jack White on guitar, performing "Riot in Cell Block #9," which you can watch below.

While the upcoming tour will feature the First Lady of Rockabilly backed by her own band, if you missed out on the special release week shows with the Third Man Band in Nashville, New York City, and Los Angeles, fear not! This new video offers a little taste of all the excitement from those dates; it was recorded at the premiere live show on January 18 at Third Man's Music City studio.

The Party Ain't Over, produced by Jack White and recorded in his Nashville studio, features 11 tracks dating in origin from the early 1900s to 2007. The result: an album that showcases Wanda, now in her seventh decade, sounding as charismatic and dynamic as ever.     "People have been calling Steve Reich the greatest living composer for more than 25 years," says NPR's Weekend Edition host Ayesha Rascoe in her introduction to Reich's interview with NPR's Tom Huizenga on the release of the 27-disc box set Steve Reich Collected Works. About the collection, the composer says: "It makes me feel very good ... It's another way of saying the music is going to get out there. The music is going to have a life independent of me ...     The 27-disc box set Steve Reich Collected Works is out now on Nonesuch. It features music recorded during the composer's 40 years on the label—six decades of his compositions, including first recordings of his two latest works, Jacob’s Ladder and Traveler’s Prayer (both also available to stream/download today)—plus two extensive booklets with new essays by Robert Hurwitz, Michael Tilson Thomas, Russell Hartenberger, Judith Sherman, and Nico Muhly, and a comprehensive listener’s guide by Timo Andres. Nonesuch made its first record with Steve Reich in 1985; he was signed exclusively to the label that year. Collected Works includes 24 discs of Nonesuch recordings and three from other labels.
