Audra McDonald was a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on NBC last night. She spoke with Fallon about her upcoming return to Broadway in Shuffle Along, which begins previews on March 15 and opens on April 28, and more. She also joined the host for a reunion of their duo, the Yahoo! Answers Lounge Singers, to give voice to some sage Yahoo! Answers in their own inimitable way. You can watch the segments below.

The revival of the 1921 musical Shuffle Along is directed by George C. Wolfe and choreographed by Savion Glover. Tickets are available now at shufflealongbraodway.com.

In her previous turn on Broadway, McDonald portrayed Billie Holiday in Lanie Robertson's musical play Lady Day at Emerson's Bar & Grill. An HBO presentation of Lady Day, filmed before a live audience at Café Brasil in New Orleans in 2014, will premiere on Saturday, March 12.

Audra McDonald’s fifth solo album, Go Back Home, was released on Nonesuch Records in 2013, and followed her previously released albums Build a Bridge (2006), Happy Songs (2002), How Glory Goes (2000), and Way Back to Paradise (1998).

    The Black Keys have released a new song, “I’m With The Band,” written with and featuring Beck, from the upcoming Ohio Players (Trophy Edition). It's the third song from that expanded version of the band's latest album on which Beck sings and which he co-wrote with The Black Keys, including the original Ohio Players tracks “Paper Crown,” featuring Juicy J, and “Beautiful People (Stay High).” The Black Keys have added new tour dates at festival in Monterrey, Mexico, and Tempe, AZ, in early 2025.

    The original score for Ken Burns’s new two-part documentary, LEONARDO da VINCI, with new compositions by Caroline Shaw, is out now; the documentary airs on November 18 and 19 at 8pm ET on PBS. The album features performances by the composer’s longtime collaborators Attacca Quartet, Sō Percussion, and Roomful of Teeth as well as John Patitucci. Shaw wrote and recorded new music for LEONARDO da VINCI, marking the first time a Ken Burns film has featured an entirely original score. Also out today is a music video for the album track "The Mona Lisa," which can be seen here.
