The Black Keys' Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney joined Apple Music's Zane Lowe to talk about their new album, Dropout Boogie, which Lowe describes as the "Mount Olympus" of The Black Keys albums. The Black Keys also discuss lessons learned from over twenty years of making music together, the history of albums like Brothers and Turn Blue, and their journey to a number one album. You can watch the conversation here:

Dropout Boogie features collaborations with Reigning Sound’s Greg Cartwright, Billy F Gibbons (ZZ Top), and Angelo Petraglia (Kings of Leon) and arrives one day before the twentieth anniversary of The Black Keys’ first LP, The Big Come Up. As they have done their entire career, Auerbach and Carney wrote all of the material in the studio, and the new album captures a number of first takes that hark back to the stripped-down blues rock of their early days making music together in Akron, Ohio, basements.

The Black Keys will tour North America for the first time in three years starting in July. Band of Horses will support on all dates, while Ceramic Animal (July 9–30), Early James (August 24–September 9), and the Velveteers (October 2–18) will open at select performances. International tour dates will be announced in the coming weeks.

Guitarist/composer Yasmin Williams stopped by the NPR offices in Washington, DC, to perform a Tiny Desk Concert of songs from her new album, Acadia, and more. "Williams is a fingerstyle guitarist who taps, slaps and slides up and down the fretboard of her instrument with a commanding sense of scenery that flickers between the strings," says NPR's Lars Gotrich. "Storytellers build worlds; at the Tiny Desk, Williams invites us into hers." You can watch it here.
