Lianne La Havas wowed the sold-out crowd at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City with her performance last night, featuring songs from her recently released debut album, Is Your Love Big Enough?. Up next is a concert at Le Belmont in Montreal on Thursday and a free in-store performance at Amoeba Music in Los Angeles on Friday. Before leaving New York City, La Havas stops by the WNYC studios to talk about the new album and perform a few songs for Soundcheck; tune in today at 2 PM ET at soundcheck.wnyc.org.

And just in time for her North American stay comes a video of the album track "Age" shot earlier this year in Los Angeles by Yours Truly, which has premiered on SPIN. In the video, "the absorbing 23-year-old prepares for a picnic date with a classy octogenarian who seems to be having the time of his life," writes SPIN's Chris Martins. "And why wouldn't he? La Havas is the embodiment of youth and beauty, and a talented songwriter whose knack runs the gamut from angular art-rock a la St. Vincent to breezy cafe numbers a la early Feist. 'Age' is of the latter ilk, and takes a playful tack to cross-generational relations." Read more at spin.com to learn about the mysterious gentleman in the video and watch it below.

Following her North American shows, Lianne La Havas returns home to the UK to tour, starting with a special set at The Roundhouse in London, supporting Alicia Keyes, on September 28 as part of the iTunes Festival. La Havas returns to the US at the end of October for a 14-date tour across the country supporting John Legend, starting with an inaugural performance at the new Barclay Center's Cushman & Wakefield Theater in Brooklyn. Donnacha Dennehy’s Land of Winter is out now. The piece, performed by the composer's longtime collaborators Alarm Will Sound and conductor Alan Pierson, explores the subtleties of Ireland’s seasons via twelve connected sections representing the months of the year. "It is the varying quality of light that truly demarcates the seasons," Dennehy says, "from the shorter days of grey or piercing light in the winter to the warmer but mercurial light of summer days that at solstice stretch almost to midnight. I like this play between light and time, and it is the major inspiration behind the piece." You can watch a video for “July" here.
