Robert Plant was a guest on the Charlie Rose show on PBS/Bloomberg News last night. He spoke with Rose about his new album, Carry Fire, Led Zeppelin, what it means to be a front man, and more. You can watch the interview below.
Carry Fire, Plant's eleventh studio album, was released October 13 on Nonesuch/Warner Bros. Records. Produced by Plant in the west of England and Wales, it melds unusual rhythms with naturalism. As with his 2014 album, lullaby and… The Ceaseless Roar, the album features his band The Sensational Space Shifters, this time joined by special guests, including Chrissie Hynde. The album is "transfixing," exclaims NPR. "Plant and his collaborators create music that overflows with irrepressible life force ... Carry Fire is rivetingly intimate."
To pick up a copy of Carry Fire, head to your local record store, iTunes, Amazon, and the Nonesuch Store, and listen now on Spotify and Apple Music.
Plant and his band the Sensational Space Shifters begin a sold-out, month-long tour of the UK on November 16, bring the show to North America for another month-long tour in February, and head to Australia in late March and April. Details at nonesuch.com/on-tour.
