Vagabon (aka Lætitia Tamko) has released a video for "Every Woman," a new song from her upcoming album, directed by Lino Asana and filmed on location in Mendocino County, CA. You can watch it here. "'Every Woman' is the thesis of my album," she says, "so I wanted the visuals to represent transparency and to create a world for this thesis statement to live inside of. It's an ode to all those who feel different and who actively search and fight for space." Vagabon begins a fall tour this week.

Vagabon (aka Lætitia Tamko) has released a video for "Every Woman," directed by Lino Asana and filmed on location in Mendocino County, California. You can watch it below. "Every Woman" is the newest single from Vagabon's self-titled sophomore album, due on CD and digitally on Nonesuch this Friday, with vinyl due November 15. Nonesuch Store pre-orders include an exclusive print autographed by Tamko.

"'Every Woman' is the thesis of my album," says Tamko, "so I wanted the visuals to represent transparency and to create a world for this thesis statement to live inside of. It's an ode to all those who feel different and who actively search and fight for space. When I was approached by Cameroonian filmmaker, Lino Asana, I was really, really excited to work with an artist from my country. There was this immediate understanding of one another. So many scenes of this video feel reminiscent of my early life in Cameroon, the chores I would do as a kid, the way we lived simply and humbly. The bubble displayed in this video represents an invitation to find yourself in this world."

Vagabon hits the road tomorrow on a tour that includes headlining shows in New York, London, Brussels, Berlin, and Paris and a full US run supporting Angel Olsen. "Once you’ve heard Laetitia Tamko sing," says the New York Times in previewing the Brooklyn concert, "you would know her voice anywhere. Booming, warbly, delicate and throaty in various combinations, it’s one of the most distinctive sounds in indie rock today.” See below for details and tickets, and visit nonesuch.com/on-tour.

Donnacha Dennehy’s Land of Winter is out now. The piece, performed by the composer's longtime collaborators Alarm Will Sound and conductor Alan Pierson, explores the subtleties of Ireland’s seasons via twelve connected sections representing the months of the year. "It is the varying quality of light that truly demarcates the seasons," Dennehy says, "from the shorter days of grey or piercing light in the winter to the warmer but mercurial light of summer days that at solstice stretch almost to midnight. I like this play between light and time, and it is the major inspiration behind the piece." You can watch a video for “July" here.
