Composer and guitarist Yasmin Williams performed "Nectar," from her new album, Acadia, for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert's Late Show Me Music online performance video series. You can watch it here:

Acadia, Yasmin Williams's most sonically expansive work to date, is nine original, mostly instrumental tracks written and produced by Williams, and features her on various guitars, banjo, calabash drum, tap shoes, and kora. She is joined by an eclectic cast of collaborators—including Immanuel Wilkins, Dom Flemons, Aoife O’Donovan, William Tyler, Darlingside, and others—creating a folk music that reflects the wide range of musical influences that have inspired her throughout her life. You can get it and hear it here.

Yasmin Williams kicks off a tour of the United States this, with shows into the spring, in Ann Arbor, Baltimore, Alexandria, New York City, Northampton, Saratoga Springs, Portsmouth, Natick, Philadelphia, Bellevue, Austin, Fort Worth, Denver, Fort Collins, and Boise.
