    Devendra Banhart's Nonesuch Records debut album, Mala, is due out next week. But you don’t need to wait till then to hear it. The album is streaming in full all this week as an NPR First Listen; it is still available to pre-order in the Nonesuch Store with a limited-edition, autographed print. Banhart, who is featured in a new Pitchfork interview, will tour Europe this summer, including three UK dates: in Brighton, Manchester, and London. He will perform at the Open'er Festival in Poland and at Le Trianon in Paris. Additional dates are still to be announced in Italy, Germany, Spain, Portugal, and Holland.

    Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell were featured on NPR's Weekend Edition Saturday, talking about and performing from their new album, Old Yellow Moon, and later that day on A Prairie Home Companion. They also performed on Wall Street Journal's WSJ Café, which you can watch here. Old Yellow Moon is out today in the UK, where it has received critical acclaim, earning four stars nearly across the board, from Mojo to the Evening Standard; the duo were featured on BBC Radio 2's Bob Harris and BBC Radio Scotland's Another Country.

    Record Store Day, the annual celebration of the unique culture surrounding over 1,000 independently owned record stores in the US and hundreds internationally, is set to take place on Saturday, April 20, and included among the special limited-edition releases on that day are vinyl recordings from The Black Keys, Bombino, Iron and Wine, and Punch Brothers.

    Björk’s music video for "Mutual Core," from her album Biophilia, directed by Andrew Thomas Huang for MOCAtv, will be shown every night in March as part of a synchronized program on over 15 of the largest digital signs in Times Square. Björk’s work will premiere three minutes before midnight tonight, March 1, and play throughout the month as part of the Midnight Moment, a presentation of the Times Square Advertising Coalition (TSAC) and Times Square Arts. "I am very excited about my 'Mutual Core' video being shown at Times Square," says Björk. "Seems like them united screens there are going to have a go at matching the energy of the volcanoes in the video! Good luck Manhattan!"

    The Kronos Performing Arts Association has announced that Kronos Quartet will welcome a new cellist, Sunny Jungin Yang, to the ensemble this June. Yang will succeed Jeffrey Zeigler, who has performed with the quartet for the past eight seasons and will step down from the group this May to work on solo projects and new collaborations and to begin teaching at Mannes College The New School For Music.

    Kronos Quartet launches a two-week tour of Australia and New Zealand at the Perth Festival, joined by Laurie Anderson for the Australian premiere of Landfall, a new work by Anderson. They perform the piece at the Adelaide Festival this Saturday. The Kronos tour includes additional performances at the Perth and Adelaide festivals and a show in Melbourne, as well as a four-city New Zealand tour. Laurie Anderson performs her piece Dirtday! at the Adelaide Festival before heading to Paris, where she will be the focus of a Domaine Privé at Cité de la Musique next week.

    Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell's album Old Yellow Moon, their first official collaboration since Crowell joined Harris' Hot Band in 1975, is out now (in Europe March 4). Harris and Crowell marked the occasion with a performance on the Late Show with David Letterman last night. The album earns four stars from Mojo and Q, which calls it "some of the best work of their careers." Country Music People gives this "magnificent album" a perfect five stars. Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell launch a tour together in March.

    Iron and Wine's Nonesuch Records debut album, Ghost on Ghost, is due out in the United States on April 16, 2013, and is now available to pre-order on CD and vinyl at ironandwine.com and in the Nonesuch Store. Pre-orders include a limited-edition print of a handwritten lyric sheet for the song "Grace for Saints and Ramblers" (a select number of which will be autographed), an instant download of the same song, and a download of the complete album starting April 16. Listen to "Grace for Saints and Ramblers" here.

    Nonesuch Records releases Sam Amidon’s label debut, Bright Sunny South, on May 14. Produced by Amidon with his childhood friend and longtime collaborator Thomas Bartlett (a.k.a. Doveman) and legendary English engineer Jerry Boys (Buena Vista Social Club, Vashti Bunyan, R.E.M.) and recorded in London, the record features a band made up of Bartlett and multi-instrumentalists Shahzad Ismaily and Chris Vatalaro. Jazz trumpeter Kenny Wheeler also makes a cameo. Amidon himself not only sings but also plays banjo, fiddle, acoustic guitar, and piano on the album. Listen to the album track "My Old Friend" here.

    Rokia Traoré, whose new album, Beautiful Africa will be released in April 2013 in Europea and Canada by Nonesuch Records, with a US release to follow, has unveiled the video for the album track "Mélancolie." The video, directed by Romain Carciofo, premiered on Slate Afrique and can now be seen here. Beautiful Africa is available for pre-order now in the Nonesuch Store and includes an instant download of the title track. Traoré has already announced several European spring tour dates and summer festivals, including Roskilde and Glastonbury.

    Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell have announced a series of European tour dates in May in support of their forthcoming duets album Old Yellow Moon. These special "An Evening With Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell" shows will feature the acclaimed artists (and longtime friends) performing material spanning their vast catalogues, backed by a distinguished group of musicians including Steve Fishell, Jedd Hughes, Byron House, Gerry Roe, and Chris Tuttle. The tour begins in Manchester, UK, on May 8 and concludes in Hamburg, Germany, on May 31.
