Chris Thile and his fellow Punch Brothers have announced tapings for the second season of their musical variety show The Energy Curfew Music Hour at Audible's Minetta Lane Theatre in New York City, January 11 and 16 and February 13, 18, and 24; special guests to be announced. (The first season is available now on all major podcast platforms). They have also announced the third annual Chris Thile Acousticamp, returning to Asilomar Hotel in Pacific Grove, CA, June 27–July 1, with fellow instructor/collaborators Julian Lage, Michael Daves, Maddie Witler, and first time faculty Josh Ritter.

Chris Thile and his fellow Punch Brothers host a new musical variety show, The Energy Curfew Music Hour, out now via Audible and available wherever you get your podcasts. Created by Thile and Claire Coffee, the series' eight episodes feature musical guests like Kacey Musgraves, Jason Isbell, Jon Batiste, Norah Jones, James Taylor, Lake Street Dive, Gaby Moreno, yMusic, and others, recorded live at Audible’s Minetta Lane Theatre in NYC.

Chris Thile and Hurray for the Riff Raff each performed on the Aspen Ideas Festival campus for NPR's Field Recordings series of shows filmed "off the beaten path." Thile was in Anderson Park to perform Bach with students from the Aspen Music School and two solo pieces from his album Laysongs. Hurray for the Riff Raff was joined by guitarist Johnny Wilson in a meadow beneath the Elk Mountains to perform five songs from the new album The Past Is Still Alive—"one of our favorites of the year," says NPR's Suraya Mohamed. Chris Thile joined the National Symphony Orchestra and conductor Eric Jacobsen in concert at The Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, to perform his narrative song cycle ATTENTION!, and more this past April. Also on the program were works by Bach, Beethoven, Dvořàk, and Ellington, and Caroline Shaw. You can watch them perform "Julep," from Punch Brothers' 2015 album, The Phosphorescent Blues; the Allegro from Bach's Concerto for Two Violins in D minor; and "The Rooftop," from ATTENTION!, here.

Chris Thile has announced his inaugural Acousticamp to take place July 30–August 3 at Glen Cove Mansion in Glen Cove, New York. For the four-day event, he and his fellow instructor/collaborators—including several Punch Brothers and Nickel Creek band mates—will explore the width and breadth of acoustic music practice, performance, and composition, anchored by but not limited to string band instruments and vernacular singing, buoyed by coffee and cocktails, all bookended by intimate concerts from Nickel Creek and Punch Brothers.

Yo-Yo Ma has partnered with Knoxville-based arts nonprofit Big Ears for the multi-faceted concert “Our Common Nature: An Appalachian Celebration,” with musical guests Rhiannon Giddens, Chris Thile, and Edgar Meyer, on Friday, May 26, at World’s Fair Park in Knoxville, TN. In addition, Thile and Giddens will each perform a concert, May 25 and May 27, respectively, at Knoxville's Bijou Theatre. Conceived and curated by Ma, the World’s Fair Park celebration will include musicians, storytellers, and poets from throughout the Appalachian region, and will be the culmination of a week-long series of cultural experiences and conversations that lift the myriad voices of Appalachia—Indigenous, European, Latinx, Black, and beyond.

The New York Philharmonic has announced the lineups for the first two installments of The 65th Street Session, a NY Phil presentation curated by Chris Thile, its 2022–23 Creative Partner, in the Wu Tsai Theater of Lincoln Center’s David Geffen Hall: Thile with Brad Mehldau and Tune-Yards on October 11 and with Punch Brothers, Watchhouse, and Sarah Jarosz, as part of their American Acoustic Tour, on December 6. Chris Thile, who is currently touring the United States with Punch Brothers, has announced a tour of Europe and the UK this autumn. The month-long tour begins in Estonia on October 20, making stops in Hungary, Austria, Czech Republic, France, Luxembourg, Germany, Denmark, Belgium, Norway, and the UK, culminating at the National Concert Hall in Dublin on November 15.
