    Brad Mehldau, Christian McBride, and Marcus Gilmore will tour the US in April—with concerts in California, Texas, Indiana, Michigan, and Massachusetts—then head to Hong Kong and Japan for five shows in May. Prior to that, Mehldau will play several solo sets across Europe, including those with music from his new album Après Fauré, in Madrid, Barcelona, London, Lyon, Paris, Grenoble, Bordeaux, Rome, and Vienna.

    The nominations for the Edison Klassiek and Jazz Awards in the Netherlands have been announced, including four Nonesuch recordings: Julia Bullock’s Walking in the Dark for Solo Vocal in the Klassiek awards; Mary Halvorson’s Belladonna and Joshua Redman, Brad Mehldau, Christian McBride, and Brian Blade’s LongGone for Jazz International Instrumental; and Cécile McLorin Salvant’s Mélusine for Jazz International Vocal—the award she won last year for her Nonesuch debut album, Ghost Song.

    The members of the legendary original 1990s Joshua Redman Quartet—Redman, Brad Mehldau, Christian McBride, and Brian Blade—who reunited after twenty-six years for the 2020 album RoundAgain, return now with LongGone, out now. The new album features original Redman compositions from the RoundAgain recording sessions, plus a live performance “Rejoice,” captured by SFJAZZ at the San Francisco Jazz Festival. "Musical soulmates reunite to stunning effect," the Guardian exclaims, naming LongGone its Jazz Album of the Month.

    The members of the original Joshua Redman Quartet—Redman, Brad Mehldau, Christian McBride, and Brian Blade—who reunited to release the album RoundAgain in July 2020, twenty-six years after their album MoodSwing, will reunite once again to tour for six nights in April 2022. The tour begins with two nights in New York City, at Blue Note April 18 and The Town Hall April 19, followed by Symphony Center in Chicago, Hill Auditorium in Ann Arbor, Koerner Hall in Toronto, and Symphony Hall in Boston. "A flawless effort," NPR exclaims of RoundAgain. "Each one of them is at the very top of his game now."

    NPR Music and Jazz Night in America debuted an hour-long set from shows Joshua Redman, Brad Mehldau, Christian McBride, and Brian Blade played at The Falcon in Marlboro, NY, just before recording their new album, RoundAgain, last September.     Congratulations to Joshua Redman, Brad Mehldau, Christian McBride, and Brian Blade, whose new album, RoundAgain, debuted at No. 1 on the Current Traditional Jazz Albums chart in the US and at No. 1 on the Jazz & Blues chart in the UK. The album has also debuted in the Top 100 of the Current Albums chart in the US and in the Top 10 of the overall albums chart in Switzerland and Top 100 of the same in Germany, Belgium, and Japan.
