Congratulations to Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway, whose latest album, City of Gold, won the IBMA Bluegrass Music Award for Album of the Year at the ceremony in Raleigh last night. They won the GRAMMY Award for Best Bluegrass Album for City of Gold earlier this year, and their debut album, Crooked Tree, won both awards last year.

Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway's new six-song EP, Into the Wild, is due September 20 on Nonesuch. The EP, a follow-up to their acclaimed Grammy-winning album City of Gold, features three new songs—including the title track, available now—as well as previously released covers of Jefferson Airplane’s “White Rabbit” and Olivia Rodrigo’s “good 4 u,” and an alternate version of the City of Gold track “Stranger Things.” They have announced new US dates in November, with stops in North Carolina, Virginia, New York, Vermont, Massachusetts, and more.

Molly Tuttle performed a set of two songs from her and her band Golden Highway’s album City of Gold—“Alice in the Bluegrass” and “Evergreen, OK”—plus a cover of Jefferson Airplane's “White Rabbit," for Paste from MerleFest 2024. You can watch it here.

Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway, fresh off their second consecutive GRAMMY win for Best Bluegrass Album last week, for City of Gold, have announced their "Down the Rabbit Hole" US tour this spring and summer. The dates begin April 18 and run through June with stops in Atlanta, Memphis, Milwaukee, Detroit, Houston, Phoenix, Omaha, St. Louis, and more. The new shows follow the band’s Big Ears Festival set next month and coincide with stops at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and Telluride Bluegrass Festival.

When Molly Tuttle was back home in the Bay Area in December to perform four sold-out shows with her band Golden Highway at the Guild Theatre, she spoke with Anne Makovec of Bay Area CBS station KPIX in celebration of the GRAMMY nomination for Best Bluegrass Album for City of Gold. Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway have released a live performance video of "Where Did All the Wild Things Go?,” a song from their Grammy-nominated new album, City of Gold, filmed at Sound Emporium Studio A in Nashville, where the album was made. "When I wrote [the song] with Ketch Secor, I couldn’t wait to play it live with my band," Tuttle says. "Since then it’s become one of my favorite songs to perform because it gives everyone the chance to let loose and have a little fun.
