Rachael & Vilray have unveiled a video for “Just Two,” a new song from their new album, I Love a Love Song!, due January 13. You can watch the video, filmed in the studio in Los Angeles and directed by Jacob Blumberg, here. The duo is slated to perform on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert this Monday, January 9.

Rachael & Vilray rang in 2023 with New Year’s Eve television appearances on both sides of the Atlantic: on CBS Saturday Morning and BBC Two’s Jools Holland special Jools’ Annual Hootenanny. You can watch them perform three songs from their upcoming album, I Love a Love Song!, on CBS—the previously released “Is a Good Man Real?” and “Just Me This Year” and the newly released “Just Two”—and their Hootenanny performance of “Is a Good Man Real?” here.

Rachael & Vilray have released an animated video for their song “Just Me This Year,” which speaks to the pleasures of spending the winter holidays alone after a welcomed romantic breakup. I Love a Love Song!, the second album from Rachael & Vilray—Lake Street Dive singer/songwriter Rachael Price and composer, singer, and guitarist Vilray—is due January 13. It features eleven new songs written by Vilray plus the 1930s classic "Goodnight My Love" written by Mack Gordon and Harry Revel. The album was produced, engineered, and mixed by Dan Knobler and features arrangements from Jacob Zimmerman. Nonesuch Store pre-orders include an exclusive autographed print in one of four colors selected at random. A new song, “Is a Good Man Real?,” debuts today; you can watch a video for it, filmed in the studio, here.

Rachael & Vilray—Lake Street Dive singer/songwriter Rachael Price and the guitarist/singer/songwriter Vilray—return with “Just Me This Year,” written by Vilray, about the pleasures of spending the winter holidays alone after a welcome romantic breakup. Vilray says: “For those who happen to be going it alone this time of year, we’re here to help you embrace the freedom!” The duo's next album will come in 2023; details soon. They will perform at the storied Carlyle Hotel in NYC over the Thanksgiving weekend, on Friday and Saturday, November 25 and 26.

Caramoor, the cultural arts venue on an 80-plus-acre estate in Katonah, New York, has announced its 2022 summer season, including performances by several Nonesuch artists: Molly Tuttle, Kronos Quartet, Dawn Upshaw, Rhiannon Giddens, Caroline Shaw, and Rachael & Vilray. "This summer is one of the most dynamic in our history," exclaims Caramoor’s President and CEO Edward J. Lewis III. "Our incredible lineup of artists and repertoire includes voices from an array of backgrounds, eras, and lived experiences, reflecting a broad diversity of audiences from our stages."

Lake Street Dive and Rachael & Vilray—who share a singer in Rachael Price—have both announced new 2022 tour dates. Lake Street Dive has added three shows in Georgia and South Carolina in March and three in upstate New York in May, including a concert with the Avett Brothers in Cooperstown. Rachael & Vilray, who close out their residency at Rockwood Music Hall in NYC next Monday and play at the Troubadour in LA on January 16, have added six new shows back on the East Coast in January, in Connecticut, Pennsylvania, DC, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.

Lake Street Dive's Rachael Price, Punch Brothers, and Gaby Moreno are among the artists who will perform at The Kennedy Center's 50th Anniversary Celebration Concert, hosted by Audra McDonald with special guest Caroline Kennedy on September 14. The event will be broadcast on PBS as The Kennedy Center at 50 on October 1. Other performers include Christian McBride, Ben Folds, Kelli O'Hara, Renée Fleming, and more.

Rachael & Vilray—Lake Street Dive singer-songwriter Rachael Price and composer, singer, and guitarist Vilray—kick off a ten-concert tour of the United States with three performances in Colorado this weekend, including a set as special guest of The Avett Brothers at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The tour continues throughout July and into August with shows in Illinois, Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts, and Maine.

While we can't go out to take in great live music, here are some events taking place online to enjoy while staying home this weekend: Yola performs in Jack Daniel's Crash the Couch livestream festival to benefit the Sweet Relief Fund tonight, Rhiannon Giddens and Francesco Turrisi perform in the online Philadelphia Folk Festival on Saturday, Jeremy Denk and Tyondai Braxton each take part in the Bang on a Can Marathon on Sunday, and Rachael & Vilray's July concert at Black Birch Vineyard gets its streaming premiere on Sunday.

Chris Thile and Rachael & Vilray are set to take part in the newly announced flexible summer programming presented at Caramoor, the cultural arts venue on an 80-plus-acre estate in Katonah, New York. They will perform the season's first public, open-air concerts on Caramoor's Friends Fields, set up for small, well-spaced audiences, on Saturdays July 18 and July 25, respectively. Tickets will go on sale five days before each performance.

Composer, singer, and guitarist Vilray—who wrote the songs for and is one half of the duo on the album Rachael & Vilray with Lake Street Dive's Rachael Price—was slated to perform at the Savannah Music Festival in Georgia this month. Instead, he took part in the festival's online SMF at Noon30 Concert Series of at-home performances. He gave a solo take on "At Your Mother's House," from Rachael & Vilray, and a new song for new love in a time of social isolation called "A Love Song Played Slow," from Brooklyn.
