    k.d. lang's Ingénue: 25th Anniversary Edition is out today on CD and digital formats, with the vinyl to follow on August 18. The new two-disc set, celebrating the double platinum-selling, Grammy Award–winning album's silver anniversary, includes remastered versions of the album's original ten tracks, including its huge hit, "Constant Craving," along with eight previously unreleased performances from lang's 1993 MTV Unplugged episode, recorded in New York's famed Ed Sullivan Theater. lang marks the anniversary with the Ingénue Redux Tour, which visits Australia and the singer’s home country of Canada this summer.

    Crack-Up, Fleet Foxes' long-awaited and highly anticipated third album, is out now. "Rewarding, involving, and meticulous," says the AP, "Crack-Up has been well worth the wait." "Likely to be the most remarkable album you will hear this year," exclaims the Times (UK). "The return of one of the most original bands of this century." Pitchfork calls it "their most complex and compelling album to date." Capping off an eventful week that included a taping of PBS's Live from the Artists Den—you can watch "Third of May / Ōdaigahara" from the taping here—Fleet Foxes performs on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight and on CBS This Morning on Saturday. The band will tour for much of the year, including two just-announced UK dates.

    Half-Light, the debut album from Rostam, will be released September 15, 2017, on Nonesuch Records. Rostam is known for his work in Vampire Weekend and produced each of their three albums. His kaleidoscopic debut album features fifteen songs that were written, produced, and performed by Rostam in his Los Angeles home studio. Half-Light is available to pre-order now with an instant download of the album tracks "Gwan" and "Bike Dream." Nonesuch Store pre-orders also include an exclusive print, a limited number of which will be signed by the artist. Tour dates are still to be announced.

    Folk Songs, a new album joining Kronos Quartet with Nonesuch Records labelmates Sam Amidon, Olivia Chaney, Rhiannon Giddens, and Natalie Merchant is out now. The artists on the album first came together to perform these songs, most of which are traditional with contemporary arrangements, when Nonesuch celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2014 with festivals at the Barbican Centre and Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM). The group later recorded the songs with Doug Petty as the album's producer. You can take a quick look at the project in an album trailer here.

    Sam Amidon's new album, The Following Mountain, is out now. (Outside the US, the CD will follow on June 2, the vinyl on June 30.) Created with producer Leo Abrahams (Brian Eno, Regina Spektor) and Amidon's frequent collaborator Shahzad Ismaily, it represents a new approach for Amidon, who shifts here from his previous norm of re-working traditional folk songs and presents nine wholly original compositions, with some lyrics drawing on traditional sources. To coincide with the album's release, Amidon has unveiled a video for the album track "Blackbird," which you can watch here. He will play an album release concert at Union Pool in Brooklyn on June 14.

    Randy Newman's first album of new material in nine years, Dark Matter, is due August 4 on Nonesuch; vinyl on August 18. It is the follow-up to 2008’s acclaimed Harps and Angels, which the Guardian called "the work of a true master of popular song." Produced by long-time Newman collaborators Mitchell Froom, Lenny Waronker, and David Boucher, the album includes songs about Vladimir Putin, the Kennedy brothers, Sonny Boy Williamson, science vs. religion, love and loss, and more.     Emmylou Harris and the Nash Ramblers' Grammy Award–winning 1992 album, At the Ryman, recorded live over three nights at the historic Nashville venue, has been remastered and is now available on vinyl for the first time. It features the legendary singer and her acoustic backing band performing songs by Bill Monroe, Bruce Springsteen, Steve Earle, Stephen Foster, Nanci Griffith, and others. The New York Times declared at the time: "This record is her finest moment."

    When Record Store Day took place last month, among the special items were The Allen Toussaint Collection, a compilation of tracks from his first four albums in its first-ever vinyl release; Emmylou Harris's Queen of the Silver Dollar: The Studio Albums, 1975–79, her first five studio albums on vinyl and a bonus 45 RPM; and Randy Newman's Lonely at the Top: Studio Albums, 1968–77, his first five studio albums on vinyl and a bonus 45 RPM. A limited number of all three vinyl releases is now available in the Nonesuch Store.

    On July 14, Nonesuch will release The Queen of Hearts, the debut album from Offa Rex, a new project from Olivia Chaney and The Decemberists. Produced and recorded by Tucker Martine and Colin Meloy at Martine's studio in Portland, OR, and mostly arranged by Chaney, The Queen of Hearts draws largely on traditional English-Irish-Scottish repertoire to create a transatlantic musical conversation that flirts with psychedelia and folk rock while maintaining its own inimitable identity.     Nonesuch releases The Natalie Merchant Collection—a deluxe ten-CD box set compiled by Merchant—on July 14, 2017. It's ten discs, including all eight of her solo studio albums from the past three decades; Butterfly, a new studio set featuring new songs and reinterpreted selections from her catalog, arranged for string quartet; and Rarities, a collection of rare and previously unreleased tracks. The package includes a 100-page lyric book and pictorial history of her solo career.     Bach Trios, an album of Bach works recorded by cellist Yo-Yo Ma, mandolinist Chris Thile, and bassist Edgar Meyer, is now available in a two-LP vinyl edition, following its recent release on CD and digitally. The Times (UK) calls it "irresistible." The Observer says the musicians are "in perfect harmony." Herald Scotland exclaims: "A new classic ...Truly, virtuosity is its own reward." The trio begins a nine-city US tour at Boston's Symphony Hall tonight.
