Jonny Greenwood is on NPR's All Songs Considered. He talks with NPR's Bob Boilen and Tom Huizenga about his own music—his There Will Be Blood soundtrack and two new pieces just given their premiere in a NPR's Tiny Desk Concert—and shares some works that have inspired him, by New Order, Olivier Messiaen, Krzysztof Penderecki, and Steve Reich. Yola was a guest on NPR's World Cafe. She spoke with host Talia Schlanger about her life and music and performed three songs from her Dan Auerbach-produced debut album, Walk Through Fire from Auerbach's Easy Eye Studio. The songs on the album "ring out with the triumphant air of someone who has withstood the flames and the heat en route to achieving their dreams," says Schlanger. Attacca Quartet performed music from Caroline Shaw’s Orange live at The Greene Space in NYC last Friday, ahead of the album’s release this coming Friday. The performance was streamed live via WNYC's New Sounds and can be seen again in full here. Shaw was the featured artist on the first episode in the new series of BBC Radio 3’s Unclassified, showcasing "genre-exploding new music for curious ears, hearts and minds," on Sunday. "I love it ... absolutely gorgeous music," says presenter Elizabeth Alker, who gave the radio premiere plays of two album tracks.

Steve Reich was on New Sounds on Friday to discuss his new piece, Reich/Richter. The piece premiered as part of Reich Richter Pärt, a live performance-exhibition pairing works by Gerhard Richter with the new Reich piece and extant work by Arvo Pärt, at The Shed in NYC on Saturday; performances continue there through June 2. Jeremy Denk was on NPR's Weekend Edition Saturday to discuss his new album, c. 1300–c. 2000. "It's kind of an epic poem of human accomplishment and different ways of seeing the world through music," he says. "So as the centuries unfold, there's periods of impasse, you know, where how do you go on after Beethoven or how do you go on after Bach? What do you do next? How do you start fresh but still build on the past?" Denk performs at Wigmore Hall in London tonight and Saturday and can be heard on BBC Radio 3's Lunchtime Concert today and In Tune on Wednesday.

Lake Street Dive's Rachael Price was the guest vocalist on public radio's Live From Here last weekend. She joined guest host Jon Batiste, who was sitting in while Chris Thile is on tour with Punch Brothers, and the band on several songs, including the Ray Noble classic "The Very Thought of You" and Prince's "How Come U Don't Call Me Anymore?" Chris Thile is the guest on NPR's The Thistle & Shamrock. He talks about bringing Live From Here to Carnegie Hall this Saturday for the hall’s Migrations: The Making of America festival, and, says host Fiona Ritchie, he explores "how his music traces his roots into Scots and Irish traditional music, and like all American music has been enriched by the movements of people, learning, sharing, and exchanging with one another."

Yola was on NPR's Morning Edition to discuss her Dan Auerbach-produced debut album, Walk Through Fire, out now on Easy Eye Sound. "The way that [Yola] taps into the softer, more theatrical side of classic country and soul along with the grit isn't the expected approach in the Americana world she now calls home," says NPR's Jewly Hight. "But she's at the place in her career where she's not about to be boxed in." Listen again here.

Chris Thile had a few familiar faces—and voices—join him as guests on Live From Here broadcast from Los Angeles last weekend. Nickel Creek—Thile, Sara Watkins, and Sean Watkins—reunited to perform "21st of May" and Sam Phillips's "Where Is Love Now?" from their album A Dotted Line, plus the instrumental "Scotch and Chocolate." Gaby Moreno once again sat in with the band on public radio's Live From Here with Chris Thile from Chicago this past weekend, joining Thile and guest Jason Isbell on vocals for a number of songs. She also performed a new song called "Nobody's Wrong," which you can watch here.

Punch Brothers stopped by The Current not long after the release of their Grammy-nominated new album, All Ashore, last summer, to discuss and perform a few songs off the album.
