Punch Brothers' first self-produced album, All Ashore, is due July 20, 2018, from Nonesuch, with the vinyl on September 7. The record includes nine original songs written by the band. "It's a meditation on committed relationships in the present day, particularly in the present political climate," says Chris Thile. Lake Street Dive, which begins the summer leg of its North American tour with shows in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia next week, has shared a live performance video of "Baby Don't Leave Me Alone with My Thoughts," the opening track on their new album, Free Yourself Up. The video was filmed by Alex Chaloff at Goosehead Palace Studios in Nashville, where the band recorded the album. Watch it here.

Following last month's release of their take on "Baby Don't Leave Me Alone with My Thoughts," from the new album Free Yourself Up, comes a new song from the session: "Musta Been Something." Mandy Patinkin was a guest on The Late Late Show with James Corden last night, along with actress Lucy Liu and musician Shawn Mendes, who is a special guest / co-host on the show all week. Patinkin gave Mendes some love advice based on his own marriage of forty years and gave the audience of taste of what Mendes's song "Stitches" sounds like in Yiddish. The band has brought its Free Yourself Up tour to California, at the Ford Theater in LA last night, House of Blues in Anaheim tonight, The Fillmore in San Francisco on Friday, and BottleRock Napa Valley on Sunday.

Audra McDonald was a guest on The Late Late Show with James Corden on CBS. She joined Corden and Dan Stevens for a few very special performances of inappropriate musicals. "Many of Broadway's biggest hit musicals have been based on movies," says Corden. "But there are so many more great movie possibilities. Lake Street Dive stopped by MPR's The Current while in St. Paul to perform a sold-out show at the Palace Theater. They spoke with host Mac Wilson about the new album Free Yourself Up and performed three songs from it: "Good Kisser," "Hang On," and "Doesn't Even Matter Now." David Byrne, whose birthday was earlier this week, was given a special gift by Choir! Choir! Choir!. The group, through which directors Nobu Adilman and Daveed Goldman lead singers and non-singers alike to participate in a mass sing-along, dedicated its latest gathering in Toronto to Byrne's birthday, performing "Everybody's Coming to My House," from his new album, American Utopia. Olivia Chaney has released a new track, "Roman Holiday," from her forthcoming album, Shelter, due June 15. She has also released a new video of her performing the song, filmed by Matthew Edginton. Chaney will celebrate the release of the new album with performances in London and NYC in June.
