    Lake Street Dive was the musical guest on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on CBS last night. The band performed "Close to Me" from its 2016 Nonesuch Records debut album, Side Pony. You can watch the performance here.

    Saxophonist Joshua Redman’s Still Dreaming, a quartet with trumpeter Ron Miles, bassist Scott Colley, and drummer Brian Blade—a tribute to the late Dewey Redman and his role in the classic Ornette Coleman alumni quartet Old and New Dreams—performed at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City earlier this year.     Fleet Foxes marked the release of their long-awaited and highly lauded third album, Crack-Up, with a performance of the album track "Third of May / Ōdaigahara" on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Friday night. The following day, the band was on CBS This Morning: Saturday, taking part in the show's Saturday Sessions, and performing three songs from the album at Electric Lady Studios in New York City: "Third of May / Ōdaigahara," "Fool's Errand," and "If You Need To, Keep Time on Me."     Offa Rex, the new project from Olivia Chaney and The Decemberists, has shared its take on "The Old Churchyard," from its debut album, The Queen of Hearts, due July 14. You can watch a studio performance video of the track, which premiered on Lenny, here. Lenny calls the album "a love letter to British folk music and an experiment in bridging musical sensibilities and finding common ground in the shared histories recounted in these classic songs." "The Old Churchyard" is available to download now with pre-orders of The Queen of Hearts, along with two previously released tracks.

    Rhiannon Giddens was a guest on the Tavis Smiley show on PBS. She spoke with Smiley about the inspiration behind her new album, Freedom Highway, and gives a solo performance of "Julie," one of nine original songs she wrote or co-wrote for the album. "What I wanted was a way to tell those stories, but I’m a musician and they wanted to become songs," Giddens tells Smiley. "I didn't have a choice really." Watch the segment here.

    Fleet Foxes kicked off their world tour, featuring music from the forthcoming album Crack-Up, with intimate shows in Missoula and Spokane on Monday and Tuesday, to be followed by shows in Portland and the band's hometown of Seattle this week. Ahead of these concerts, the band's first in the US in six years, they gathered in Seattle to rehearse. They've shared behind-the-scenes footage from the rehearsals in a video by Sean Pecknold, which you can watch here.

    Fleet Foxes have unveiled the music video for "Fool's Errand," the second track released from their forthcoming album, Crack-Up, due June 16. The video was directed by Sean Pecknold with art direction by Adi Goodrich and produced by Society. You can watch it here and download the track with album pre-orders. Fleet Foxes begin an extensive international tour later this month.

    Devendra Banhart, whose new album, Ape in Pink Marble, was released in the fall, recently took director Barbara Anastacio on a tour of his home in Los Angeles for the Nowness series My Place. "I haven't figured out how to make it a place that feels inviting and cozy, I think, to have even people over," Banhart says of his home. "Even though my idea of a good party, no one's home. I mean, I'm not even there. Like, if I'm not here, and there's no one here, it's a pretty good party." You can watch it here.

    Conor Oberst was in Sydney, Australia, in February to give an intimate solo performance at the Sydney Opera House, which The Music described as "simply mesmerising." He opened the set with his song "Tachycardia," from his new albums, Ruminations and Salutations. Oberst also performed the song for the Sydney Opera House's Nooks & Crannies video series, which showcases unseen spaces inside the iconic venue. For the video, which you can watch here, Oberst is at the piano, joined by Miwi La Lupa on bass, to perform "Tachycardia" in the Opera House scenery dock.

    Tigran Hamasyan has unveiled the music video for "Markos and Markos," a song from his new album, An Ancient Observer. The screenplay, direction, and animation for the video are by Naira Muradyan, inspired by Zahrad's poem "Marc and Marc." You can watch it here.

    Mandy Patinkin, after having completed filming the latest season of the Showtime series Homeland, traveled to Europe with his wife Kathryn to continue his work with the International Rescue Committee (IRC), visiting refugee camps and helping to shed light on the humanitarian crisis. He was also reunited with a Syrian family he had first met in a refugee camp in their new home in Germany. You can watch the IRC film of the reunion here as well as his appearances discussing the humanitarian crisis on Charlie Rose, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Late Night with Seth Meyers, and MTP Daily with Chuck Todd.
