Yola made her US national TV debut on CBS This Morning: Saturday, performing a Saturday Sessions set of songs from her Dan Auerbach–produced debut album, Walk Through Fire: "Faraway Look," "Ride Out in the Country," and "Love All Night (Work All Day)." You can watch the set here.

Mountain Man's set at NPR Music's SXSW Tiny Desk Family Hour was among the "'Wow' Moments from SXSW 2019," said All Songs Considered. You can now watch the trio—Alexandra Sauser-Monnig, Molly Sarlé, Amelia Meath—perform three songs from the set: "AGT" from their album Magic Ship; Sarlé's "Human"; and "Grasses" by Daughter of Swords, Sauser-Monnig's new solo project. NPR's Stephen Thompson, in sharing this "softly joyful set," notes Mountain Man's "resplendent blend" and the "wonderful folk-pop songs" to come from Daughter of Swords.

Yola had a jam-packed week at SXSW, performing at showcases, radio sessions, and parties across Austin, including The Current Day Party, the 30-minute set from which you can watch here, and Andrew Bird's Live From the Great Room, their duet of "I Forgot to Be Your Lover" from which you can watch here as well. Yola's debut album, Walk Through Fire, is No. 1 on the UK Americana Album chart and is WFUV's New Dig. "Every so often, a musician emerges that really stops the world in its tracks. Yola," WFUV exclaims, "is one of those special talents."

Lake Street Dive's Rachael Price was the guest vocalist on public radio's Live From Here last weekend. She joined guest host Jon Batiste, who was sitting in while Chris Thile is on tour with Punch Brothers, and the band on several songs, including the Ray Noble classic "The Very Thought of You" and Prince's "How Come U Don't Call Me Anymore?" Mountain Man's Alexandra Sauser-Monnig brought her solo project, Daughter of Swords, to the Paste Studio Austin live from the Riverview Bungalows during SXSW. She performed three songs: "Gem," the first music released from the debut Daughter of Swords album, due later this year on Nonesuch; "Grasses," another of her songs; and the shape-note tune "What Wondrous Love Is This." She also talks a bit about the tarot-card origins of the band name and working with producer Nick Sanborn of Sylvan Esso on the forthcoming album. You can watch the session here.

Mountain Man was in the Austin area to perform songs from its new album, Magic Ship, at NPR Music's SXSW Tiny Desk Family Hour, Willie Nelson's Luck Reunion, and South x San José. Mountain Man, which resumes its first US tour in six years next week, has shared a video featuring a performance of the songs "Window" and "Moon"—both from the trio's Nonesuch debut album, Magic Ship—from a sold-out hometown show at the Haw River Ballroom in North Carolina from late last year. Rostam, whose solo debut album, Half-Light, was released on Nonesuch in September 2017, celebrated the album's anniversary with a show at the Fonda Theatre in LA last September. He has released a video from that night of a special extended version of the album's title track, performed with a string quartet. Each group member takes a solo turn that quotes from a famous melody, including the Gaelic tune " Sí Bheag, Sí Mhór," Beethoven's "Ode to Joy," the Shaker song "Simple Gifts," and Kate Bush's "Wuthering Heights." Mountain Man stopped by NPR to perform a Tiny Desk Concert of songs from its Nonesuch debut album, Magic Ship. You can watch it here. "Mountain Man is the perfect band for a Tiny Desk concert," says host Bob Boilen. "These three women make the most intimate music; and behind the desk, [their] voices were the stars." He goes on to say that "there's a true kinship that happens in this trio ... There's no other band like them." Mountain Man resumes its US tour in March and has just announced several new dates in May and June.

Chris Thile had a few familiar faces—and voices—join him as guests on Live From Here broadcast from Los Angeles last weekend. Nickel Creek—Thile, Sara Watkins, and Sean Watkins—reunited to perform "21st of May" and Sam Phillips's "Where Is Love Now?" from their album A Dotted Line, plus the instrumental "Scotch and Chocolate."
