    Rachael & Vilray were on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to perform "Is a Good Man Real?" from their new album, I Love a Love Song!, out this coming Friday. You can watch it here. The duo has just announced that it will perform music from the new album live at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn on February 24.

    Rachael & Vilray have unveiled a video for “Just Two,” a new song from their new album, I Love a Love Song!, due January 13. You can watch the video, filmed in the studio in Los Angeles and directed by Jacob Blumberg, here. The duo is slated to perform on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert this Monday, January 9.

    Cécile McLorin Salvant performs Harold Arlen & Yip Harburg’s "Over the Rainbow" in a new video recorded at New York’s Jazz at Lincoln Center last spring. The video features Salvant with pianist Sullivan Fortner, percussionist Keita Ogawa, guitarist Marvin Sewell, flutist Alexa Tarantino, and bassist Yasushi Nakamura. You can watch it here. She performs Arlen/Harburg's "Optimistic Voices" along with Gregory Porter's "No Love Dying" in a Grammy-nominated arrangement on her Grammy-nominated Nonesuch debut album, Ghost Song.

    Rachael & Vilray rang in 2023 with New Year’s Eve television appearances on both sides of the Atlantic: on CBS Saturday Morning and BBC Two’s Jools Holland special Jools’ Annual Hootenanny.     David Byrne rang in 2023 performing two songs with Miley Cyrus as part of NBC’s New Year’s Eve special Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party. Byrne, Cyrus, and a full band performed “Everybody’s Coming to My House,” from his 2018 album American Utopia and its subsequent Broadway production, and David Bowie’s “Let’s Dance.” You can watch them both here.

    Punch Brothers recently concluded a US tour with Béla Fleck’s My Bluegrass Heart featuring Sierra Hull. You can now watch a holiday medley from their December 15 Indianapolis show—including “The Chipmunk Song,” “Sleigh Ride,” and letters to Santa—here. Punch Brothers' latest album, Hell on Church Street, a reimagining of, and homage to, the late bluegrass great Tony Rice’s landmark solo album Church Street Blues, has been nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Folk Album.

    Cécile McLorin Salvant performs "Optimistic Voices / No Love Dying"—the Grammy-nominated song from her Grammy-nominated Nonesuch debut album, Ghost Song—in a new video recorded during her two-night engagement at New York’s Jazz at Lincoln Center this past spring. The video features Salvant along with pianist Sullivan Fortner, percussionist Keita Ogawa, guitarist Marvin Sewell, flutist Alexa Tarantino, and bassist Yasushi Nakamura, all of whom are on the album. Salvant arranged the songs written by Harold Arlen/Herbert Stothart/Yip Harburg and Gregory Porter, respectively. You can watch it here.

    Hurray for the Riff Raff performed several songs from their new album, LIFE ON EARTH, at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC, last month as part of NPR Music’s 15th anniversary celebrations. You can watch the set here. LIFE ON EARTH made NPR Music’s list of The 10 Best Rock Albums of 2022 and NPR Music’s Ann Powers list of The 20 Best Albums of 2022.     A digital deluxe version of acclaimed singer, songwriter and musician Molly Tuttle’s Grammy-nominated album with her band Golden Highway, Crooked Tree, is out today on Nonesuch. Alongside the original thirteen songs, the deluxe edition features new renditions of the Grateful Dead’s “Dire Wolf,” and the traditional folk song “Cold Rain and Snow,” also made famous by the Grateful Dead, as well as live versions of album tracks “Dooley’s Farm” (feat. special guest Jerry Douglas) and “Castilleja,” both recorded at Nashville’s historic Station Inn. To celebrate the deluxe release, Tuttle has shared a new video for album track “Nashville Mess Around," which can be seen here.
