Fleet Foxes have debuted their performance of the title track to their album Crack-Up, accompanied by the acclaimed Icelandic women's choir Graduale Nobili, in a new video from Consequence of Sound. The performance was filmed at Harpa Concert Hall in Reykjavik, ahead of the 2017 Iceland Airwaves festival. Watch it here.

David Byrne joined Lauren Laverne as co-host of the BBC Radio 6 Music morning show. They discuss his Reasons To Be Cheerful series of talks, which he presented in London Tuesday, and his new album, American Utopia, from which Laverne gives the world premiere of the track "This Is That," a collaboration with Daniel Lopatin (aka Oneohtrix Point Never). Byrne was also a guest on BBC Radio 2's Drivetime show with Simon Mayo.

Emmylou Harris and Chris Stapleton shared the stage at the 60th annual Grammy Awards to offer a touching take on the late Tom Petty's song "Wildflowers" from Madison Square Garden on Sunday night. You can watch it here. 

David Byrne joined a group of strangers in the lobby of the Public Theater in NYC during the Under the Radar Festival earlier this month to perform David Bowie's "Heroes." Organized by the group Choir! Choir! Choir!, singers and non-singers alike were invited to participate in the mass sing-along, with Byrne singing lead. You can watch it here.

Rostam, who kicked off a month-long North American tour with a sold-out show in Atlanta last night, has added new dates on the flip side of the tour in late March. The spring shows include stops across the US, Europe, and the UK. Also today comes the release of a new, official video for "Bike Dream," from his album Half-Light, directed by Rostam and filmed in Paris, Berlin, and Copenhagen. You can watch it here.

Congratulations to Randy Newman, whose song "Putin," from his album Dark Matter, has won the Grammy Award for Best Arrangement, Instruments and Vocals. "I'd like to thank the Recording Academy for this award," he says. "I worked hard on the arrangement and I’m proud of it. I appreciate the attention. Thank you. Rhiannon Giddens has announced sixteen new headlining dates on her Freedom Highway tour. The new tour stops include shows in Baltimore, Tampa, and Cincinnati and are part of several months of touring across the US. Tickets for the new dates go on sale this Friday, February 2.

Paul Thomas Anderson joined Lauren Laverne on BBC Radio 6 Music on Friday to discuss the making of his new feature film, Phantom Thread, including Jonny Greenwood's score for the film. "The best part of my day is waking up in the morning to new Jonny Greenwood emails with music," he says. "It's like Christmas morning every time." You can hear their conversation here. Louis Andriessen's Theatre of the World, recorded live during the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s 2016 world premiere performances, has been nominated for the International Opera Award for Recording (Complete Opera) of the Year. Winners will be announced in a ceremony at the London Coliseum on Monday, April 9.

Nonesuch Records is pleased to announce that it will release Gabriel Kahane's 8980: Book of Travelers later this year. The album's genesis began on the day after the 2016 presidential election, when Kahane embarked—with no cell phone or other internet-connected device—on a looping, 8,980-mile railway journey through the US. Over two weeks, he broke bread with dozens of strangers whose stories were woven into a song cycle that he premiered at Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) earlier this year. Brad Mehldau's After Bach is due March 9, 2018, on Nonesuch. The album comprises the pianist/composer's recordings of selections from J.S. Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier, each followed by a piece written by Mehldau and inspired by its WTC mate. "There have always been elements of Mehldau's style that recall Bach," writes Timo Andres in the liner note.
