Offa Rex, the new project from English singer-songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Olivia Chaney and The Decemberists, has shared its take on "Sheepcrook and Black Dog," from its debut album, The Queen of Hearts, due July 14 on Nonesuch. Saxophonist Joshua Redman’s Still Dreaming, a quartet with trumpeter Ron Miles, bassist Scott Colley, and drummer Brian Blade—a tribute to the late Dewey Redman and his role in the classic Ornette Coleman alumni quartet Old and New Dreams—performed at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City earlier this year. Devendra Banhart begins a European summer tour, featuring music from his new album, Ape in Pink Marble, at Columbiahalle in Berlin tonight. The tour continues with shows in Copenhagen, Milan, Brussels, Rome, Vienna, Munich, London, and Paris, and festival sets in Switzerland, France, Spain, Italy, and Finland.

Fleet Foxes marked the release of their long-awaited and highly lauded third album, Crack-Up, with a performance of the album track "Third of May / Ōdaigahara" on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Friday night. The following day, the band was on CBS This Morning: Saturday, taking part in the show's Saturday Sessions, and performing three songs from the album at Electric Lady Studios in New York City: "Third of May / Ōdaigahara," "Fool's Errand," and "If You Need To, Keep Time on Me."
