See below for all of the currently announced Trio tour dates; for all the latest, as well as details on Mehldau's upcoming solo shows and his tour with a trio of a different sort (his Mehliana partner Mark Guiliana and guitarist John Scofield), visit nonesuch.com/on-tour.

Blues and Ballads is the Trio’s first new release since 2012’s Where Do You Start. As with that album, which was met with critical acclaim and earned the band and ECHO Jazz Award for Best International Ensemble, Blues and Ballads comprises interpretations of songs by other composers, this time with the focus on blues and ballads implied by the album’s title, including works by Cole Porter, Charlie Parker, Lennon & McCartney, and Jon Brion. The album is available for pre-order now at iTunes and in the Nonesuch Store, where CD and vinyl orders include a download of the album track "Little Person" now and of the complete album on release day.

David Longstreth’s Song of the Earth, a song cycle for orchestra and voices, is due April 4. Performed by Longstreth with his band Dirty Projectors—Felicia Douglass, Maia Friedman, Olga Bell—and the Berlin-based chamber orchestra s t a r g a z e, conducted by André de Ridder, the album also features Phil Elverum (Mount Eerie), Steve Lacy, Patrick Shiroishi, Anastasia Coope, Tim Bernardes, Ayoni, Portraits of Tracy, and the author David Wallace-Wells. Longstreth says that while Song of the Earth—his biggest-yet foray into the field of concert music—"is not a ‘climate change opera,’” he wanted to “find something beyond sadness: beauty spiked with damage. Acknowledgement flecked with hope, irony, humor, rage.”

Their 1987 Nonesuch recording is included in the forthcoming Steve Reich Collected Works, a twenty-seven disc box set, due March 14.
