The line-up for the 2015 Cambridge Folk Festival has been expanded, and among the newly announced performers at this year's festival are Punch Brothers, Rhiannon Giddens, and Olivia Chaney. The four-day festival takes place at Cherry Hinton Hall in Cambridge, England, and runs from July 30 to August 2. Tickets are on sale now.

Punch Brothers kick off the next leg of their North American tour, featuring music from their new album, The Phosphorescent Blues, at the Vogue Theatre in Vancouver next Wednesday. Rhiannon Giddens kicks off her own US tour, with music from her debut solo album, Tomorrow Is My Turn, at the Big Ears Festival next weekend; she tours Europe starting at the end of June. Olivia Chaney releases her debut album, The Longest River, on Nonesuch at the end of April, and plays a record-release show at Kings Place in London on May 19.

    Composer Steve Reich talks about creating his 1970–71 piece Drumming—which the Village Voice hailed as “the most important work of the whole minimalist music movement"—in a new video from his publisher Boosey & Hawkes.     Legendary New Orleans musician Allen Toussaint (1938–2015) is featured on a new stamp from the US Postal Service, available January 30—the forty-eighth in its Black Heritage stamp series. Ethel Kessler, an art director for USPS, designed the stamp using a photograph by Bill Thompkins. A free first-day-of-issue event will be held at the George and Joyce Wein Jazz & Heritage Center in New Orleans.
