The February 8 release of Jessica Lea Mayfield's Nonesuch Records debut album, Tell Me, is still two months away, but the excitement is already building. Stereogum recently included the album in its list of the 50 Most Anticipated Albums of 2011. And just today, Tell Me was among the pop-culture picks of the week from USA Today. Whitney Matheson of the paper's Pop Candy blog lists the album as the "Best thing I heard" this week, exclaiming: "Ooh, Jessica Lea Mayfield has an album out Feb. 8, and I'm already a fan. The record, Tell Me, was produced by The Black Keys' Dan Auerbach. Love her." Read more from the list at usatoday.com.

While the release date may be a little ways off, now is the perfect time to reserve a copy of Tell Me in the Nonesuch Store. Both the CD and vinyl editions of the album are 33% off the standard retail price, along with all the CDs, LPs, and DVDs at nonesuch.com, as part of the Nonesuch Store's 3rd Anniversary Sale. What's more, the first 250 orders include a limited-edition, signed 7" of the album's first single, "Our Hearts Are Wrong," with a live version of Mayfield's song “Kiss Me Again" on the B side.

In addition to her previously announced December and February tour dates with Justin Townes Earle, Mayfield has signed on for the 35 Conferette taking place March 10–13, 2011, in Denton, Texas. Also confirmed for the festival are Mavis Staples, The Secret Sisters, and comedian/musician Reggie Watts, among others. Presale tickets for the festival and conference are available at a discounted price for a limited time at prekindle.com.

American Railroad, the new album from the Silkroad Ensemble with Rhiannon Giddens, is out now. It is the culmination of four years of research, collaboration, and music-making, having brought Silkroad artists all across the US to uncover and uplift stories of those who built the transcontinental railroad and connecting railways across North America. "The result is a tapestry of stories, traditions, and music that have shaped our multifaceted cultural identity, and that must be heard and recognized," Giddens says. Also out now are a performance video of the track "Mahk Jchi" and the first episode of the American Railroad podcast series. The US fall tour continues to November 23.
