Natalie Merchant begins a career retrospective tour of the United States, entitled Natalie Merchant: 3 Decades of Song, with a sold-out performance at The Bardavon in Poughkeepsie, New York, tonight. The concerts, which coincide with the forthcoming The Natalie Merchant Collection, continue with dates in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Cleveland, Chicago, Minneapolis, Denver, Los Angeles, Portland, and more.

Natalie Merchant begins a career retrospective tour of the United States, entitled Natalie Merchant: 3 Decades of Song, with a sold-out performance at The Bardavon in Poughkeepsie, New York, tonight. On the tour, which spans her thirty-year recording career with songs from 10,000 Maniacs and from her solo albums, Merchant is accompanied by a string quartet and her regular band. The concerts continue in the East with stops in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and Virginia, before heading to the Midwest for shows in Cleveland, Chicago, and Minneapolis, and out West for dates in Denver, throughout California, including the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, and the Pacific Northwest.

A portion of the tour's proceeds will be donated to the environmental organization Food & Water Watch, which champions healthy food and clean water. See below for all of the currently scheduled shows; for all the latest, visit nonesuch.com/on-tour.

Merchant’s tour coincides with the forthcoming The Natalie Merchant Collection, due July 14 on Nonesuch Records. The deluxe ten-CD box set, compiled by Merchant, comprises all eight of her solo studio albums; a new disc with new songs and reinterpreted catalog selections; and a disc of rare and unreleased tracks. Nonesuch Store pre-orders include an instant download of the new recording of "Frozen Charlotte" from the Butterfly disc.

    The Way Out of Easy, the first album from guitarist Jeff Parker and his long-running ETA IVtet—saxophonist Josh Johnson, bassist Anna Butterss, drummer Jay Bellerose—since their 2022 debut Mondays at the Enfield Tennis Academy, which Pitchfork named one of the Best Albums of the 2020s So Far, is out now on International Anthem / Nonesuch Records. Like that album, The Way Out of Easy comprises recordings from LA venue ETA, where Parker and the ensemble held a weekly residency for seven years. During that time, the ETA IVtet evolved from a band that played mostly standards into a group known for its transcendent, long-form journeys into innovative, groove-oriented improvised music. All four tracks on The Way Out of Easy come from a single night in 2023, providing an unfiltered view of the ensemble, fully in their element.
