Nonesuch Records wishes everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving in the US and a very fruitful Black Friday in the days ahead. Remember: all CDs, LPs, and DVDs in the Nonesuch Store are currently 34% off the standard retail price as part of the store's ongoing anniversary sale. Of course, the focus for the holiday is on family, and while the Nonesuch staff is spending time with ours, there are a few special events and concerts in the coming days to keep in mind as you're enjoying yours as well.

As part of Record Store Day's "Back to Black" Friday, The Black Keys release a limited-edition vinyl 12-inch of their new single, "Lonely Boy" (pictured at left), exclusively to participating indie music retailers this Friday. Both the lead track and the B-side, "Run Right Back," are featured on the band's forthcoming album, El Camino, which hits stores on December 6. While the Record Store Day vinyl single isn't available online, the album may be pre-ordered in The Black Keys store, iTunes, and the Nonesuch Store, where CD and vinyl orders—now 34% off SRP—include an instant MP3 download of "Lonely Boy."

---

Björk performs songs from her new album, Biophilia, on Later ... with Jools Holland, airing Friday night on BBC Two in the UK. She performed the song "Crystalline" on Tuesday night's half-hour live preview show, which you can watch here. Among the other guests on this week's shows are Red Hot Chili Peppers, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, and Gillian Welch and Dave Rawlings.

---

Gidon Kremer and the Kremerata Baltica are set to perform at the Theater Casino in Zug, Switzerland, this Saturday night. On the program are the works of Mozart, Schumann, Tchaikovsky, and Valentin Silvestrov. "Herbert von Karajan once declared that Kremer was the greatest violinist alive," The New Yorker's Alex Ross recently wrote; "this still seems to be the case."

---

Cheikh Lô closes out his North American tour with Still Black, Still Proud: An African Tribute to James Brown, as the tour group, led Brown's longtime band leader Pee Wee Ellis, plays its final show at Koerner Hall in Toronto Saturday night. The short tour brought together what the Boston Globe described as a "funk-soul supergroup," also featuring Maceo Parker and Vusi Mahlasela, to celebrate the music of the late Godfather of Soul.

---

Pat Metheny Trio, featuring Larry Grenadier on bass and Bill Stewart on drums, completes the Spanish leg of its European tour with a performance at Auditori de Barcelona Thanksgiving night. The Trio then makes its way to Tel Aviv, Israel, for a show at Hangar 11 Saturday night.

---

Punch Brothers play their final show in support of Paul Simon at the EJ Thomas Performing Arts Hall in Akron, Ohio, tonight. The group has been touring the US with Simon for most of November, an experience banjo player Noam Pikelny tells the Quad-City Times has been "a ridiculous opportunity." Punch Brothers' new album is slated for release on Nonesuch early next year.

---

Joshua Redman and Brad Mehldau have a busy holiday weekend ahead as they continue their European duo tour with a performance in Dusseldorf, Germany, at the Tonhalle Dusseldorf tonight, and remain in Germany for the remainder of the holiday weekend. On Thanksgiving night, the duo makes an appearance at Alte Oper Frankfurt. Then it's on to Dortmund, where they're set to perform at the Konzerthaus on Friday night. Finally, on Saturday night, the pair make their final appearance of the weekend at Leaiszhalle in Hamburg.

Following this weekend's performances, Redman and Mehldau have just one remaining concert together in 2011, when they perform as part of the Voll-Dam Barcelona International Jazz Festival at Teatre Coliseum on Monday night. Mehldau has several solo performances scheduled for the weeks ahead, including a week's residency at the Village Vanguard at the start of the new year, before he and Mehldau head to Australia for three performances together.

---

Celebrations of Steve Reich's 75th birthday (which took place last month) continue this weekend, as the composer performs his Clapping Music in concert at the Wathen Hall at St. Paul's School in London Saturday night. It's an event the venue predicts will be "arguably the most high-profile concert to be presented in the Wathen Hall in its entire history." The all-Reich program, performed by a range of ensembles and performers associated with Reich's music, as well as musicians from St. Paul's School and St. Paul's Girls' School, also includes New York Counterpoint, Cello Counterpoint, Different Trains, and Music for 18 Musicians. The sold-out event also includes a post-concert interview with Reich.

---

Allen Toussaint closes out his four-show residency at Joe's Pub in New York tonight. The performances were a part of Joe's Pub's New York Voices series, supported by the National Endowment for the Arts.

American Railroad, the new album from the Silkroad Ensemble with Rhiannon Giddens, is out now. It is the culmination of four years of research, collaboration, and music-making, having brought Silkroad artists all across the US to uncover and uplift stories of those who built the transcontinental railroad and connecting railways across North America. "The result is a tapestry of stories, traditions, and music that have shaped our multifaceted cultural identity, and that must be heard and recognized," Giddens says. Also out now are a performance video of the track "Mahk Jchi" and the first episode of the American Railroad podcast series. The US fall tour continues to November 23.
