Brad Mehldau and his trio—Larry Grenadier on bass and Jeff Ballard on drums—continue to tour ahead of their forthcoming album, Seymour Reads the Constitution!, with a residency at Scullers Jazz Club in Boston. Following last night’s Scullers set, the three-night run continues with two sets each night tonight and Saturday. The US leg of the tour concludes with shows at the Swyer Theatre in Albany on Sunday and the Academy of Music Theatre in Northampton, Massachusetts, on Tuesday. The tour heads to Europe in early May.

Laurie Anderson gives the West Coast premiere of the multimedia presentation of her new book, All the Things I Lost in the Flood, at Bram Goldsmith Theater at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Los Angeles tonight. Her award-winning virtual-reality film receives its New York premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival today.

Both David Byrne and Fleet Foxes continue their US tours at the second Coachella weekend in Indio, California, playing back-to-back sets at the Outdoor Theatre starting at 7pm on Saturday. Fleet Foxes play a headlining show at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley tonight.
Also this weekend, Fleet Foxes release a new, limited-edition black vinyl 7" single at independent record stores around the world for Record Store Day on Saturday. It’s a special recording of the title track to their 2017 album, Crack-Up, performed with Icelandic women’s choir Graduale Nobli, in Reykjavik, and an intimate version of "In the Morning" recorded live at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland.

Olivia Chaney continues her tour of Europe as special guest of Alela Diane with a sold-out show at Zonnehuis in Amsterdam on Sunday.
Chaney will release her new album, Shelter, on Nonesuch in June. The album, produced by Thomas Bartlett, features eight original songs, along with Chaney's takes on Purcell's "O Solitude" and the Everly Brothers’ "Long Time Gone.” Tickets for her record-release shows at New York’s (Le) Poisson Rouge and London’s Hoxton Hall are on sale now.
