The album, which the Guardian describes as a "vibrant, personal take on songs from Armenia and beyond," was released in the US last week.
"You will find it difficult if not impossible to get this disc out of your machine for quite a while," raves the Buffalo News of Mockroot. "Don’t count on getting it out of your head for a long while either."

Jeremy Denk joins the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, of which he is the Artist Partner this season, for a performance at Wooddale Church in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, tonight, following last night’s concert in Stillwater. The program, entitled Jeremy Denk plays Bach, also features Bach’s Contrapunctus XIV from The Art of Fugue and Janáček’s Mládí.
The New York Times has remarked on Denk's "profound affinity with Bach." Nonesuch Records released his recording of Bach’s Goldberg Variations, with a companion DVD of video "liner notes," in September. Says NPR: "Once you've entered the Denkian dimension, you won't want to leave."

Punch Brothers continue their US tour with three concerts this weekend: at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium tonight, the Riviera Theatre in Chicago on Saturday, and First Avenue in Minneapolis on Sunday. Guitarist Michael Daves, who released a duo bluegrass album with Chris Thile on Nonesuch in 2011 called Sleep With One Eye Open, supports the band on all of this weekend's shows.
The Chicago Reader, previewing Saturday’s show, calls the band’s new album, The Phosphorescent Blues, “stunning.” The album, which was released late last month on CD and digitally, is newly available on vinyl.
