Happy Record Store Day! Today is the sixth annual celebration of the unique culture surrounding independently owned record stores around the world, and a number of Nonesuch Records artists have special, limited-edition vinyl releases out now to mark the occasion: The Black Keys, Bombino, Iron and Wine, and Punch Brothers. These releases are also available for a limited time in the Nonesuch Store.

The Black Keys are featured in this year's "Side by Side" vinyl series, a Warner Bros. Records series of limited-edition 7" vinyl singles on which artists cover other historic and personally influential iconic artists. On one side of this split single is The Stooges' 1969 classic track "No Fun," with The Black Keys' updated 2002 take on the flip side.

Bombino, whose Nonesuch debut album, Nomad, released earlier this month (and also available on vinyl), was produced by The Black Keys' Dan Auerbach, releases a 10" vinyl single of the album track "Azamane Tiliade" with an exclusive non-album B-side, “Si Chilan,” for Record Store Day. Auerbach helmed the recording at his Nashville studio, Easy Eye Sound. The 10" was mastered at Bernie Grundman Studios and pressed by Pirates Press.

Iron and Wine, which made its Nonesuch Records debut with this week's release of the album Ghost on Ghost (also on vinyl), releases a special 7" today that includes two exclusive tracks unavailable anywhere else: "Next to Paradise" and "Dirty Dream." The 7" was cut by Bernie Grundman Studios and pressed at Pallas MFG in Diepholz, Germany.

Just in time for Record Store Day, Punch Brothers’ five-song EP Ahoy!, previously released digitally and on CD, was released earlier this week on vinyl. Recorded during the Nashville sessions for their critically acclaimed album Who's Feeling Young Now?, these tracks also were produced by Jacquire King. The EP includes songs by Josh Ritter, Gillian Welch and David Rawlings, Punch Brothers, and Mclusky, along with one traditional tune, arranged by Punch Brothers. The vinyl EP was cut by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Studios and pressed at Pallas MFG.

The twenty-seven disc box set Steve Reich Collected Works is due March 14, 2025, on Nonesuch. It features music recorded during the composer's forty years on the label—six decades of his compositions, including first recordings of his two latest works, Jacob’s Ladder and Traveler’s Prayer—plus two extensive booklets with new essays by Robert Hurwitz, Michael Tilson Thomas, Russell Hartenberger, Judith Sherman, and Nico Muhly, and a comprehensive listener’s guide by Timo Andres. Nonesuch made its first record with Steve Reich in 1985; he was signed exclusively to the label that year. Collected Works includes twenty-four discs of Nonesuch recordings and three from other labels.
