The Black Keys will perform on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno this Friday night, February 11, on NBC, and on Conan the following Monday, February 14, on TBS. The two television appearances bookend another very important date for the band, namely the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards, taking place this Sunday, Feburary 13, at which The Black Keys' latest Nonesuch album, Brothers, is up for six Grammys.

The Black Keys will perform on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno this Friday night, February 11, at 11:35 PM on NBC, and on Conan the following Monday, February 14, at 11 PM on TBS. The two television appearances bookend another very important date for the band, namely the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards, taking place this Sunday, February 13.

The Black Keys' latest Nonesuch album, Brothers, is up for six Grammys this Sunday: the albums was nominated for Best Alternative Music Album; its lead single, "Tighten Up," which became the band's first No. 1 radio hit in October, brought nominations for Best Rock Song to bandmates and songwriters Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney, and Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals; the track "Black Mud" is up for Best Rock Instrumental Performance; and the work of the album's art director, Michael Carney, was recognized with a nomination for Best Recording Package. Danger Mouse, who produced "Tighten Up" (as well as the band's previous album, Attack & Release), has been nominated for Producer of the Year, in part for his work on Brothers.     The Black Keys have released a new song, “I’m With The Band,” written with and featuring Beck, from the upcoming Ohio Players (Trophy Edition). It's the third song from that expanded version of the band's latest album on which Beck sings and which he co-wrote with The Black Keys, including the original Ohio Players tracks “Paper Crown,” featuring Juicy J, and “Beautiful People (Stay High).” The Black Keys have added new tour dates at festival in Monterrey, Mexico, and Tempe, AZ, in early 2025.

    The original score for Ken Burns’s new two-part documentary, LEONARDO da VINCI, with new compositions by Caroline Shaw, is out now; the documentary airs on November 18 and 19 at 8pm ET on PBS. The album features performances by the composer’s longtime collaborators Attacca Quartet, Sō Percussion, and Roomful of Teeth as well as John Patitucci. Shaw wrote and recorded new music for LEONARDO da VINCI, marking the first time a Ken Burns film has featured an entirely original score. Also out today is a music video for the album track "The Mona Lisa," which can be seen here.
