Punch Brothers celebrated the release of their new album, Who's Feeling Young Now?, with a special set at NYC's intimate Rockwood Music Hall last night that was captured in photos by Brooklyn Vegan. The band launches its North American tour outside Boston this Thursday. While in Paris last month, the band met up with the folks at Rolling Stone France to perform a short set. Punch Brothers celebrated the release of their new album, Who's Feeling Young Now?, with a special invitation-only performance for fans at New York City's intimate Rockwood Music Hall last night. Brooklyn Vegan was there as well and captured some fantastic photos from the event, which you can see at brooklynvegan.com.

The band officially launches its North American tour with special guest Aoife O'Donovan at the Somerville Theatre outside Boston starting this Thursday. For details and tickets links, go to nonesuch.com/on-tour.

Last month, Punch Brothers were in the UK and Europe, where Who's Feeling Young Now? received four stars from the Guardian, which exclaimed: "This is a remarkable band." While in Paris, the band met up with the folks at Rolling Stone France to perform a short set for the magazine's site in association with Utuh and Watch Your Steps collective.     The Way Out of Easy, the first album from guitarist Jeff Parker and his long-running ETA IVtet—saxophonist Josh Johnson, bassist Anna Butterss, drummer Jay Bellerose—since their 2022 debut Mondays at the Enfield Tennis Academy, which Pitchfork named one of the Best Albums of the 2020s So Far, is out now on International Anthem / Nonesuch Records. Like that album, The Way Out of Easy comprises recordings from LA venue ETA, where Parker and the ensemble held a weekly residency for seven years. During that time, the ETA IVtet evolved from a band that played mostly standards into a group known for its transcendent, long-form journeys into innovative, groove-oriented improvised music. All four tracks on The Way Out of Easy come from a single night in 2023, providing an unfiltered view of the ensemble, fully in their element.
