The Black Keys have released a new song, “I’m With The Band,” written with and featuring Beck, from the upcoming Ohio Players (Trophy Edition). It's the third song from that expanded version of the band's latest album on which Beck sings and which he co-wrote with The Black Keys, including the original Ohio Players tracks “Paper Crown,” featuring Juicy J, and “Beautiful People (Stay High).” The Black Keys have added new tour dates at festival in Monterrey, Mexico, and Tempe, AZ, in early 2025.

Philip Glass and Robert Wilson's Einstein on the Beach, widely credited as one of the greatest artistic achievements of the 20th century, launched its creators to international success when it was first produced in Avignon, France, in 1976. Now, 20 years since its last production, as part of an international tour, Einstein on the Beach returns to New York with eight performances at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), tonight through September 23.

The video was directed by Sam Birt and produced and edited by OLO Creative Farm. Watch it here. Diawara, who was raised in Mali and now lives in Paris, recently completed a five-day tour with Africa Express and will launch a tour of the US on September 20.

SPIN has premiered a video for her song "Age" shot by Yours Truly. Says SPIN: "La Havas is the embodiment of youth and beauty, and a talented songwriter whose knack runs the gamut from angular art-rock a la St. Vincent to breezy cafe numbers a la early Feist." The five-day, five-city tour includes stops in Limerick, Cork, Dún Laoghaire, as well as a show at The Mac in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Redman returns to Europe in November for the first in his curated concerts at London's Wigmore Hall and a three-week European tour with James Farm.
Journal Topics: On Tour, Artist NewsWednesday, September 12, 2012The first video from Sara Watkins’ acclaimed album, Sun Midnight Sun, for “When It Pleases You,” received its premiere via CMT.com. “When It Pleases You” was written by Dan Wilson, and the song’s video is directed by Peter Zavadil. Watch the video here. Watkins will be a presenter at the Americana Music Awards at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium tonight before returning to the road, playing several headlining shows and also joining Jackson Browne as a special guest throughout the fall.

The soundtrack comprises 11 compositions by Greenwood along with four recordings from the movie’s era. Rolling Stone, which gives the film four stars, says its "visual poetry is matched by Jonny Greenwood's haunting, hypnotic score." The New Yorker calls the score “rich and inventive.” Consequence of Sound says Greenwood "has delivered a score that’s both haunting and beautiful."

Tonight's Bowery Ballroom concert has been named WNYC's Gig Alert and is a Critics' Pick at New York magazine, which says La Havas' "smoky ripple of a voice and her way with a guitar are beautiful things to behold, especially alone onstage, where their feathery perfection seems almost miraculous."

The program features the world premiere of the all-live version of WTC 9/11, a piece that reflects on the World Trade Center attacks of September 11, 2011. There will be a pre-concert conversation with the composer. The concert will be streaming and videocast live via NPR and Q2 Music.
