Björk continues to celebrate the release of her new album, Biophilia, with the latest show in her Reykjavik residency tonight. New York magazine found her "pitch-perfect" at Sunday's show. She is the subject of a Q&A with Mashable and a feature article in the Los Angeles Times, which says that, with Biophilia, Björk "has reinvented the album into a transformative transmedia experience." The San Francisco Chronicle says she "has come up with her most compelling work in eons"; "the results are extraordinarily sumptuous and seductive." The Philadelphia Inquirer calls it "eerily beautiful."

Björk, whose new album, Biophilia, was released this week, is the featured guest on PRI's Studio 360. Björk leads host Kurt Andersen through different tracks on the album and the App, which features a separate component for each track on the album. "For the last two decades, Björk has pushed every boundary she could find," says the show. Now, on Biophilia, "Björk’s odes to the mysteries of the universe can be as intoxicating as any love song." Björk, whose new album, Biophilia, was released this week, is in her hometown of Reykjavik, Iceland, to celebrate with the launch of a nine-show Biophilia residency at the brand-new Harpa Concert Hall, beginning with two nights as part of the Iceland Airwaves Festival. The residency is fully sold-out. Biophilia is featured on this week's Science Times podcast from the New York Times. Björk spoke about the project with NPR's All Songs Considered host Bob Boilen, who says: "Björk is a visionary." CNN says the project "really takes technology, music, and even education to a new place." 

Björk's new album, Biophilia, is out this week. She spoke with NPR's Morning Edition about the new album and its multimedia components, including the App suite also available this week. The AP says "Biophilia's music is vintage Björk." The Financial Times calls it "a triumph," giving it a perfect five stars, as does the Daily Telegraph. The Daily Mirror calls it "a thrilling record ... Even in Björk’s catalogue there’s nothing that’s been as spectacularly unconventional and wholly successful as Biophilia." PopMatters says "she’s breaking new ground few others know is out there to begin with."

Björk's new album, Biophilia, is due out on CD next week. Also available then is the complete Biophilia App suite comprising ten components, one for each track on the album; watch a preview video here. The vinyl album will now release two weeks later, on October 24. The Guardian gives the album four stars, saying it "teems with invention ... big on moments of pure, indulgent pleasure." Daily Express says she's "outdone even herself" with Biophilia. "Eccentric and quite lovely, this is a real artist at work."

Björk's forthcoming album, Biophilia, is due out in just under a week, on October 11, and is now streaming at NPR Music as an exclusive NPR First Listen. "Biophilia's songs are astounding," raves NPR. "These songs have room to breathe, employing space and silence as much as melody and harmony. The sparse instrumentation and arrangements become gorgeously intricate meditations on which to build ... Vocal melodies unfurl more like transcendent devotionals than typical verses, and become even more stirring when accompanied by a chorus of voices that could fill a cathedral."

Björk's Biophilia is out in just over a week. In an early review, the BBC calls it "an amazing, inventive and wholly unique eighth album from an artist without peer." Stereogum says: "She brought it, once again." Crave exclaims: "Biophilia is simply a phenomenal album ... Björk represents the best idea of what a pop star truly is." Clash Music says: "An absolutely remarkable artist, for whom the terms ‘genius’ and ‘unique’ are not journalistic hyperbole but simple fact, Björk is taking music to a place where we should all gladly follow."

Björk continues to unveil Biophilia with the release of the video for "Moon," the latest single off the forthcoming album, due out October 11. Björk's Biophilia project is the Icelandic artist’s most interdisciplinary project to date, comprising a studio album, an app, a new website, custom-made musical instruments, live shows, and educational workshops. Björk's forthcoming album, Biophilia, due out October 11, is featured in the latest episode of NPR's All Songs Considered, the show's Fall Music Preview. The show's contributors "talk about some of the releases they're most looking forward to coming out this fall." Host Bob Boilen offers Björk's latest single, "Moon," to the Fall Preview mix. Björk brought the music of Biophilia, her forthcoming album, to Britain's Isle of Wight last night, where she headlined the four-day Bestival's closing night. Q magazine says "it's clear from the off, the Icelandic singer does not do 'average' festival sets." She was the featured guest on the full hour of the CBC radio show Q. "Few artists can lay claim to being the greatest cultural export of their home country," says the show, citing her "trailblazing" new album.
