David Byrne performed “This Is a Life,” the Oscar-nominated song from the Oscar-winning film Everything Everywhere All at Once, at the 95th Academy Awards ceremony at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles last night with Stephanie Hsu, who herself was nominated for an Oscar for her performance in the film, and the band Son Lux, which was up for an Oscar for Original Score. Congratulations to David Byrne, who has been nominated for an Academy Award, with Ryan Lott (of Son Lux) and Mitski, for Original Song, for "This Is a Life," from the Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert film Everything Everywhere All at Once. You can hear it here. The film has received eleven Academy Award nominations, including Son Lux for Music (Original Score), another track from which features Randy Newman. The 95th Academy Awards will be held in Hollywood, airing live on ABC, on Sunday, March 12.

Here Lies Love, the immersive disco pop musical based on the rise and fall of Imelda Marcos and the People Power Revolution of the Philippines, with music by David Byrne and Fatboy Slim, will premiere on Broadway this summer at the Broadway Theatre, directed by Alex Timbers and choreographed by Annie-B Parson. Performances will begin Saturday, June 17, ahead of an official opening night on Thursday, July 20.
