Nickel Creek recently stopped by Last.fm to discuss their new album, A Dotted Line, and the band's officially reuniting for the first time since its 2007 self-described "indefinite hiatus." The trio—Chris Thile, Sara Watkins, and Sean Watkins—also performs two songs from the new album, "Destination" and "Rest of My Life." Nickel Creek's video for "Destination," off their new album, A Dotted Line, received its world premiere via NPR Music's "First Watch" feature. The video was directed by Eli Cane of Normal Life Pictures and shot in New York City during release week for A Dotted Line. You can watch the video here.

Nickel Creek—Chris Thile, Sara Watkins, and Sean Watkins—officially reunited for the first time since its 2007 self-described "indefinite hiatus" for the release of its new album, A Dotted Line, on Nonesuch Records earlier this month and for a spring and summer tour that kicks off at the Alabama Theatre in Birmingham tonight. The tour's special guests include The Secret Sisters through May, Josh Ritter, and Sarah Jarosz.

Nickel Creek celebrated the release of its new album, A Dotted Line, earlier this month with a number of TV and radio performances, including WNYC's Soundcheck, on which the band performed three tracks from the album—"Destination," "21st of May," and "Rest of My Life." Nickel Creek's new album, A Dotted Line, debuted at #7 on the Billboard 200, the band's highest chart position to date! It's been a busy week for the group, with performances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, WNYC's Soundcheck, CBS This Morning Saturday, and A Prairie Home Companion. Nickel Creek, which begins its first US tour in seven years next week, has announced a new batch of tour dates for this summer. A limited pre-sale for most of the newly announced dates begins Wednesday, April 9, at 10 AM local time.

Nickel Creek performed "Destination," off the new album A Dotted Line, on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on NBC last night and gathered for a web-exclusive video to discuss how they wrote their earlier tune "Helena."
