Robert Plant's new album, lullaby and… The Ceaseless Roar, has already begun to receive rave reviews in the UK. The album has earned four stars from Q and Mojo and nine out of ten in Uncut. Q says "he’s produced his best solo album yet … a beautifully moving, soul-stirring, bravely genre-blurring album." Mojo, calling it "a rewarding, often touching listen," makes it Album of the Month, as does Uncut, which says it is "a record that deftly aligns the chakras of Plant’s storied career while also being a bold act of reinvention ... His uniqueness has never been more apparent."

With just about two weeks to go before the release of Robert Plant's new album, lullaby and... The Ceaseless Roar, on September 9, Plant and his band the Sensational Space Shifters take fans through the new album in a new short film, which you can watch below. Band member Justin Adams discusses the band's unanimity and creative freedom, while Skin Tyson talks about "creating space at the right time, for each other," and Johnny Baggot discusses his psychedelic looping samples.

Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters today announced their 2014 fall tour in support of the new album, lullaby and... The Ceaseless Roar, due September 9. Kicking off in Port Chester, NY, at the Capitol Theater on September 25, the dates finish in Los Angeles on October 7 at the Hollywood Palladium. All Citi card members can purchase their tickets to the tour beginning August 12. Each presale will include a copy of Robert Plant’s new record. The general public presale begins August 15. Plant will also be performing two shows at Brooklyn’s BAM as part of Nonesuch 50th anniversary concerts. A live version of the album track "Rainbow" has premiered via Rolling Stone.

Robert Plant has teamed up with Genero TV to give fans the unique opportunity to produce the music video for "Rainbow," the lead track off his forthcoming album, lullaby and... The Ceaseless Roar. The competition gives filmmakers a chance to receive $3,000 and have their video used as the music video for "Rainbow." Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters will be appearing for the first time at the iTunes Festival at London's Roundhouse on September 8.

Robert Plant's forthcoming album, lullaby and... The Ceaseless Roar, and the track "Rainbow" are featured on NPR's All Songs Considered. "Trying to think of artists who’ve made music from the past who make relevant music, or at least music that expands the boundaries of what you’re used to hearing from them … making something fresh," posits host Bob Boilen. "The artist that came to mind is Robert Plant. I’m so in love with what he has tackled in the last decade or so and the projects he’s done. In a new video, Robert Plant previews his new album, lullaby and… The Ceaseless Roar, due September 9. In the video, Plant leads viewers through the personal journey that led to the new album, from the Welsh borders, through the American South, and back home to the UK. "These songs are an ode to life and love," says Plant, "and the fragile adventure you set out upon unknowingly and unwittingly." Watch the video here.

Robert Plant and his band the Sensational Space Shifters gave the Glastonbury Festival crowd "one of the most musically diverse sets of the day," says the BBC, including songs from his new album, lullaby and... The Ceaseless Roar. They "concoct a fascinating hybrid of dub, jazz, afrobeat and blues well suited to such an eclectic festival," says the Telegraph, "and an appreciative audience swayed in the setting sun to blissful world groove ... Plant's still got the vocal chops and stadium charisma." The Guardian calls him "hero." Metro says "Plant still very much has the voice and all of the cool." Legendary British singer/songwriter Robert Plant has signed with Nonesuch/Warner Bros. Records, which will release his label debut later this year. Further details about the album, which will feature the Sensational Space Shifters band, will be announced shortly. Plant says of working with Nonesuch, “I’m pleased to find such a reputable home for our renegade departures. The support and encouragement we have received has been strong and refreshing – Turn It Up!”
