Audra McDonald, who is featured on NPR's Tell Me More today, has announced a number of new tour dates across the US for this summer and fall featuring music from her new album, Go Back Home. The tour includes performances with the Boston Symphony Orchestra at Tanglewood, San Francisco Symphony's Opening Night, shows in Austin, Chicago, Los Angeles, St. Louis, Kansas City, and much more. In a new video, McDonald says of Go Back Home: "If there were a Broadway show that were written about my life, especially the last seven years," she says of the album in the video, "this would be the soundtrack." Tuareg guitarist, singer, and songwriter Bombino kicks off the first US leg of his tour featuring music from his new album, Nomad. The month-long tour begins with a set at the Sasquatch! Festival in Washington on Saturday, followed by additional stops out West, down South, across the Midwest, and into the Northeast, including headline shows, supporting slots with Gogol Bordello, festival sets at Wakarusa, Bonnaroo, and Celebrate Brooklyn, and more. Bombino and the band return to North America for the next leg of the tour in July.

Björk has brought her live Biophilia show back to North America, starting with the first of three shows outside San Francisco tonight, followed by two at the Hollywood Palladium where the venues have been set to her original Biophilia specifications as audio-visual shows in an intimate, in-the-round setting. In addition to her Biophilia performances, Björk will also appear at the Hollywood Bowl and at Echo Beach in Toronto along with three festival appearances: Pitchfork Festival, Bonnaroo, and the RBC Bluesfest in Ottawa.

Stephen Sondheim's latest musical, Road Show, begins a six-week run at the Stages Repertory Theatre in Houston, Texas, tonight, marking its first regional theatre production. The Guardian has described Road Show as "an intimate epic that, while giving enormous pleasure, aspires to be nothing less than a state-of-the-nation musical." Variety calls it "an alluring odyssey ... [N]obody who cares about musical theater should miss it." Nonesuch Records and PS Classics released the original cast recording of Road Show in 2009.

Sam Amidon has unveiled the official video for "As I Roved Out," off his just-released Nonesuch debut album, Bright Sunny South. The video, directed by John Hardwick, premiered on NPR Music. MusicOMH says it "is arguably the most striking track on the album." Sam Amidon will perform at (Le) Poisson Rouge in NYC tonight; the show will streaming live via Livestream. He performed and discussed the new album on WNYC's Soundcheck; listen to the episode here.

Iron and Wine, which is currently touring the US East Coast in support of the new album Ghost on Ghost, has announced a number of new tour dates for the US and Canada this September. The 11-city tour includes stops in Minneapolis, Chicago, Madison, Winnipeg, Calgary, Toronto, and more. Fan pre-sale begins on Wednesday via Artist Arena; general on-sale begins on Friday. Iron and Wine will perform on Jimmy Kimmel Live on June 24.

California-based singer/songwriter Nataly Dawn launches a tour of Europe for the first time, in support of her critically acclaimed new album, How I Knew Her, including two UK headline shows in London (Slaughtered Lamb, May 15) and Nottingham (Rescue Rooms, May 16), and seven shows in the UK supporting Lord Huron, starting at Junction 2 in Cambridge tonight. The European tour also includes dates in France, Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany. 

The music of Donnacha Dennehy's 2011 Nonesuch debut album Grá agus Bás, which NPR called "a revelation," will be performed by the artists featured on the album—Crash Ensemble led by conductor Alan Pierson with vocalists Iarla O’Lionáird on the title piece and Dawn Upshaw on the song cycle That the Night Come—at The Kennedy Center this Tuesday and in Carnegie Hall's Zankel Hall on Friday. The concerts mark the US and New York premieres of That the Night Come.
