"Kill Rock Stars and Nonesuch might not seem like they have much in common," writes Pitchfork's Kate Llewellyn. "But the pair just got a lot tighter with the announcement that the founder/head honcho of Kill Rock Stars, Slim Moon, will leave his position at KRS sometime this fall to work in A&R for Nonesuch."

Audra McDonald will guest co-host The View tomorrow, September 26, and will perform “Bein’ Green” from her latest Nonesuch album, Build a Bridge, at the end of the show. A profile of McDonald aired on Saturday, September 23, on NPR's All Things Considered. Additionally, NPR has prepared a special webpage, with pictures, extra interview audio, and a few songs from the new album.

Over the last few months, four artists with whom the company had important associations have passed away. Here we remember Hamza El Din, Ali Farka Toure, Lorraine Hunt Lieberson, and Edward Aldwell.
