It's been a more than five decade career in coming, three months since it was first announced in the Nonesuch Journal, and now less than two months away from the release of Wanda Jackson's latest album, The Party Ain't Over, produced by Jack White and due out January 25 on Third Man / Nonesuch Records. And while the party ain't over by a long shot, the wait to reserve a copy of the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer's new album is. It's now available for pre-order in the Nonesuch Store.

"I don’t know too many female names in the rock and roll world that come before her," Jack White said of Jackson in a recent American Songwriter article on the project. "She put in that energy to take it someplace totally new," White says of Jackson's approach to the album and its eclectic repertoire. "It’s a testament to how much someone can fall in love with music.”
The first single off the album, Jackson's take on Bob Dylan's "Thunder of the Mountain," with "Dust on the Bible" on the B side, is available as a vinyl 7" from Third Man Records. You can hear the track on Nonesuch Radio.
