Devendra Banhart, whose new album, Ape in Pink Marble, was released on Nonesuch Records on Friday, has unveiled the official music video for the album track "Saturday Night." The video was directed by Jon Beasley and Isabelle Albuquerque of Osk Studio. Banhart says: "I'm so excited and honored to have had Osk Studio make this music video for 'Saturday Night.'" Devendra Banhart's new album, Ape in Pink Marble is out now. The album, Banhart's ninth, was written, produced, arranged, and recorded in Los Angeles by the singer / songwriter / guitarist with his longtime collaborators Noah Georgeson and Josiah Steinbrick, both of whom also worked on Banhart's most recent album, Mala (2013). Q and the Times of London give the album four stars; Uncut calls it "excellent." Banhart will mark the release of the album with sold-out shows at Rough Trade in Brooklyn tonight and at Club Bahia in LA this Tuesday, September 27.

The track is also available to download now with pre-orders of the new album—which Uncut calls "excellent"—on iTunes and in the Nonesuch Store, along with the previously released album opener, "Middle Names." Nonesuch Store CD and vinyl pre-orders also include an exclusive, limited-edition autographed print of a drawing by Banhart.

Nonesuch Records releases Devendra Banhart's new album, Ape in Pink Marble, on September 23, 2016. Devendra Banhart has released a collection of drawings, paintings, and mixed media pieces entitled I Left My Noodle on Ramen Street. The book, published by Prestel, features a cross-section of his work from the last decade along with Banhart’s own commentary and musings as well as photographs and other ephemera; texts by Beck, art dealer Jeffrey Deitch, and curator Diego Cortez; and a conversation with Adam Green. Banhart celebrates the publication of the book with events at the Strand in New York City on Thursday, June 25, and at LACMA in Los Angeles on Sunday, June 28.

Devendra Banhart and his band toured South America in 2014 with music from his Nonesuch Records debut album, Mala. Artist and filmmaker Adam Tullie was there to capture the trip and has created a short film, set to a selection of Banhart's home demos and one of his poems. "The overall landscape is beyond beautiful, strewn with lush color and tropical flora," says Tullie, with whom Banhart is releasing an art book. "The people reflect this; lively, bright, and full of love." Watch it here.

The tour continues with stops in Sonoma, Grass Valley, Chico, Felton, and Big Sur. Banhart is featured on the new collection Master Mix: Red Hot + Arthur Russell to benefit the Red Hot Organization's fight against AIDS.

The Brooklyn Academy of Music's wide-ranging series of concerts and events Nonesuch Records at BAM: Celebrating a Label Without Labels, celebrating the 50th anniversary of Nonesuch Records, kicks off Tuesday night with the first of three consecutive nights of concerts from Philip Glass and Steve Reich plus a separate solo set from Brad Mehldau and continues through September 28. The New York Times says the series "reflects the broad curiosity and high standard of a label that has had notable successes ... with no guiding criteria other than instinct and taste." In conjunction with these events, BAMcinématek presents Nonesuch Records on Film, a salute to the label’s rich catalogue of movie soundtracks.

Devendra Banhart launches a four-concert tour of Australia with a performance at the Factory Theatre outside Sydney Wednesday night, followed by a show at the Prince Bandroom outside Melbourne Thursday, and two sets at the 25th annual Byron Bay Bluesfest (pictured) this Saturday and Monday. The weekend's sets mark Banhart's Bluesfest debut. Also performing at the festival are Iron and Wine and Dr. John. In May, Banhart joins Rokia Traoré to kick off the Barbican's month-long celebration of Nonesuch at 50.
