Laurie Anderson brings her latest piece, Delusion, to the Brighton Festival with a performance at the Brighton Concert Hall Thursday night, preceded by a conversation there tonight about her work, her influences, her collaborations, and her thoughts on art, language, and storytelling. Earlier this month, The Kitchen, the NYC non-profit performance and visual arts space, celebrated its 40th anniversary by honoring Philip Glass in a gala benefit. Laurie Anderson launches an international spring and summer tour at the Donau Festival in Austria tonight. The tour includes performances at venues and music festivals in Germany, the UK, Spain, Portugal, Greece, the Netherlands, Israel, Norway, and Ireland. Anderson returns to her home city of NYC to perform at the River to River Festival and Lincoln Center Out of Doors later this summer. She recently spoke with the BBC about technology in music. "The Laurie Anderson sound has evolved as she grasped new technologies," says the BBC, "adapting instruments and software to suit her genre-defining artistic vision."

Laurie Anderson is featured in a new exhibition at the Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil (CCBB) in Rio de Janeiro titled I in U (Eu em Tu). The retrospective show presents original works produced by Anderson from the 1970s to today, featuring installations, photographs, drawings, videos, music, and more. The exhibition opened yesterday and runs through June 26. Anderson performs at Japan Society's Concert for Japan on April 9 and will tour Europe starting in May.

Laurie Anderson, Philip Glass, John Zorn, and Lou Reed will be among the artists performing at the Concert for Japan, a 12-hour event on April 9 presented by NYC's Japan Society to benefit organizations that directly help people affected by the earthquake and tsunamis that struck Japan. Additional activities will be available for all ages, including making paper cranes and washi lanterns for good luck, basic Japanese language classes, and access to the exhibit Bye Bye Kitty!!!. All proceeds will go to Japan Society's Japan Earthquake Relief Fund.
