    The Low Anthem's summer tour of Europe comes to the end of the road as the band plays the End of the Road festival this weekend and a sold-out show with Iron and Wine at Union Chapel next week. Their next scheduled US date is with Josh Ritter in October. During their tour with The Avett Brothers earlier this year, the band was captured on stage and backstage at the Egyptian Room in Indianapolis for an 11-minute video you can watch here.

    Emmylou Harris and The Low Anthem are coming together to tour the US East Coast this fall. Starting at the Byham Theater in Pittsburgh on November 9 and concluding at the Peace Center in Greenville, South Carolina, on November 21, The Low Anthem will open for Harris, with stops along the way in Buffalo and Albany, New York; Northampton, Massachusetts; Wilmington, Delaware; Roanoke and Charlottesville, Virginia; and Frederick, Maryland.

    The Low Anthem and Punch Brothers recently performed at the legendary Newport Folk Festival; both bands' sets were streamed live in full on NPR.org. The Low Anthem's home state performance garnered great reviews, including one from the Boston Globe, which wrote that a "fiery spirit imbued the Low Anthem’s set earlier on the same stage, with the Providence band once again proving its quick ascent was warranted." In their review of the festival, American Songwriter magazine called Punch Brothers' set "a deft fusion of old and new."

    The Low Anthem kicks off its summer tour this weekend, starting three weeks of shows along the US East Coast, from Virginia to Vermont. Following a Sunday set at the Green River Festival in Massachusetts, the Providence-based quartet heads back to its hometown to headline a benefit concert for Congressional candidate David Segal. The band returns to Rhode Island at the end of month to perform on the Newport Folk Festival's Main Stage.

    The Low Anthem is taking a few weeks off from its busy touring schedule to prepare its next album. The good news is, a number of sites—LaundroMatinee, Baebel Music, Duke Street Blog, and The Bandwidth Sessions—have posted video sessions of live performances by the band to allow fans to experience the live feel before the band heads out on the road again in July.

    The Low Anthem is up for two awards open to fan votes. Those in the UK can make the most of today's election momentum and vote in the Mojo Honours List, where The Low Anthem is nominated for Breakthrough Act of the Year. The band has also been nominated in The Phoenix Best Music Poll for Local Superstars and National Roots/Americana, up against Wilco in the latter; Bill Frisell is up for Best Jazz and Stephen Merritt for Best Singer/Songwriter.

    The Low Anthem concludes the West Coast leg of its tour at Seattle's Crocodile Cafe tonight, before heading inland for shows from Salt Lake City to Chicago before it's back East. The band walked Paste through the recording space for its next record and spoke with the San Francisco Chronicle about it, after playing a number of new tunes for KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic in LA.
