Fleet Foxes' Robin Pecknold was a guest on NPR's All Things Considered. He discusses the band's new album, Crack-Up, and shares some of the experiences he had in the years since the release of the group's previous album. "Anything can teach you a lesson that you apply to what you make," says Pecknold. "And I still feel that way. I still feel like the more experience I have outside music, the closer my music is to what I want it to be. And it's just about chasing those experiences." The album, produced by Plant in the west of England and Wales, melds unusual rhythms with naturalism. As with his 2014 album, lullaby and… The Ceaseless Roar, the album features his band The Sensational Space Shifters. They are also joined here by special guests, including Chrissie Hynde. Produced by long-time Newman collaborators Mitchell Froom, Lenny Waronker, and David Boucher, the album includes songs about Vladimir Putin, the Kennedy brothers, Sonny Boy Williamson, science vs. religion, love and loss, and more. Randy Newman "remains first and foremost a craftsman of song, capable of telling ordinary stories in ways no one quite has before," says NPR. Newman is "still at the top of his game," says the AP. He "just gets better," says ABC News. "Dark Matter is the work of a master craftsman ... frankly brilliant."

The new two-LP set, celebrating the double platinum-selling, Grammy-winning album's silver anniversary, includes remastered versions of the album's original ten tracks, including its huge hit, "Constant Craving," along with eight previously unreleased performances from lang's 1993 MTV Unplugged episode, recorded in NYC's famed Ed Sullivan Theater. Additionally, lang marks the anniversary with the Ingénue Redux Tour, currently making its way across her home country of Canada.

The tour includes three UK shows—at Edinburgh’s Usher Hall on March 8, Gateshead’s Sage on March 12, and London’s Palladium on March 14—as well as performances in Germany and Ireland, with further European dates to be announced shortly.

The album was produced by Hamasyan and recorded by Antoine Gaillet at Studio de Meudon in Meudon, France, in June 2016. The video was made by Armen Catanasyan. You can watch it here.

The video was shot on location in Tokyo by director Ravi Dhar. You can watch it here. Pitchfork called Blood "dynamic and poignantly self-assured in its introspection … an almost seamless album."

He performed in the NPR studio and spoke with host Steve Inskeep about his new album, Dark Matter. You can hear the on-air piece and their extended, full interview here. The album has been named WFUV's New Dig. "Dark Matter arrives at the right time and delivers the commentary and insight we crave from Newman," says WFUV. "The man is one of the era’s great songwriters, composers, and storytellers, and Dark Matter perfectly fits in his legacy." WFUV recently recorded a live session with Newman at NYC's Electric Lady Studios; it airs tonight and is available now at wfuv.org.

Recorded over the course of a year in La Chartreuse—a fourteenth-century monastery-turned-artist’s residence in Avignon, France—OUÏ was released internationally earlier this year to critical and popular acclaim. Debuting at #1 in the French charts, the album was called "a celebration of a vocal instrument as dexterous as it is delicate, with sounds given new shapes and word play at a premium" by the UK’s Evening Standard. Mostly sung in French, the album also includes one song in English, "Seeds." That track and "Fontaine de Lait," the video for which can be seen here, are available to download now with album pre-orders. Camille performs at NYC's (Le) Poisson Rouge on October 16.

The tour starts at the Fremont Abbey Arts Center in Seattle on September 23 and continues with stops in Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver, Milwaukee, Chicago, Toronto, DC, and Philadelphia, before culminating with a performance at New York City’s Mercury Lounge on October 10. He has also added new Scandinavian dates on his previously announced European tour.
