Celebrate Brooklyn!—one of New York City's longest running, free, outdoor performing arts festivals—has announced the complete line-up for this summer's concert series in Brooklyn's Prospect Park. Among the featured performers this year are several artists familiar to readers of the Nonesuch Journal: Lake Street Dive, Conor Oberst, Fleet Foxes, Sam Amidon, Amadou & Mariam, and Youssou N'Dour.

Rhiannon Giddens will tour the UK and Ireland this autumn, bringing music from her new album, Freedom Highway, to London, Bristol, Birmingham, Milton Keynes, Pocklington, Manchester, Dublin, Glasgow, and Gateshead.

Rhiannon Giddens begins an extensive US tour, with music from her new album, Freedom Highway, at the Stagecoach festival in California on Friday. She takes the tour across the Southwest, down to New Orleans and Atlanta, up to her home state of North Carolina and to DC, Boston, Philadelphia, and NYC's Lincoln Center. The tour resumes in June and continues through the summer, with headlining shows across the South and Midwest and festivals like Spoleto, Newport Folk, Newport Jazz, and ROMP.

Devendra Banhart has announced a tour of South America in the fall, featuring music from his latest album, Ape in Pink Marble, and more. The 10-city tour begins with a performance at CC Barranco in Lima, Peru, on September 1, followed by a concert in Santiago, Chile, seven shows in Brazil, and a final stop in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Sam Amidon, whose new album, The Following Mountain, is due May 26, has announced several European tour dates in the autumn. The concerts begin with his first-ever headline show at Union Chapel in London on October 26 and include performances in Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Berlin, Brussels, and Amsterdam. Amidon will perform in Minnesota and at the Eaux Claires festival in Wisconsin this spring.

The Celebrity Series of Boston has announced its 2017–2018 concert season, and among the artists performing through the acclaimed series at venues in and around Boston next season are four Nonesuch artists: Chris Thile, Jeremy Denk, Audra McDonald, and Joshua Redman. David Byrne and Fatboy Slim's musical Here Lies Love begins its two-month run at the Seattle Repertory Theatre tonight, with the official Opening Night set for April 20. Seattle Rep's Bagley Wright Theatre transforms into a vibrant dance party, where techno beats spin and tell the story of former Filipina First Lady Imelda Marcos, retracing her meteoric rise to power and subsequent descent into infamy and disgrace at the end of the People Power Revolution. Nonesuch released the original cast album in 2014 and an all-star album of songs from Here Lies Love in 2010.

Conor Oberst has shared his music video for "Barbary Coast (Later)," directed by Cris Gris. The song is from his latest album, Salutations. You can watch the video here. Oberst has extended his US tour this summer. The newly added dates include stops in Omaha, Knoxville, DC, Milwaukee, Chicago, Cincinnati, and more. Oberst will also perform on The Late Late Show with James Corden on May 10.

Fleet Foxes have announced an extensive international tour for 2017, including newly added US dates throughout the Southwest, Southern California, and the Midwest as well as a winter stretch across Europe. These dates are in addition to the previously announced selection of intimate theater shows in the Pacific Northwest, performances at legendary amphitheatres such as Hollywood Bowl and Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and routing through Australia and Europe. Fleet Foxes have also released a short trailer for their forthcoming album, Crack-Up, featuring footage shot during recent Seattle rehearsals paired with snippets from select album tracks.
