    The SFJAZZ Center in San Francisco has announced its 2019–20 concert season, and among the performers taking the Miner Auditorium stage are several Nonesuch artists: Brad Mehldau, Joshua Redman, Rhiannon Giddens, Kronos Quartet, and Laurie Anderson, who is an SFJAZZ Resident Artist Director for the season.

    Lake Street Dive kicks off a months-long spring and summer tour of the US in Ponte Vedra, Florida, tonight. The tour continues with double bills with The Wood Brothers, supporting spots with The Avett Brothers, and headline shows across the country, some with Yola as special guest. The band released a wiidope remix of "I Can Change," a song from their album Free Yourself Up, as a thank-you to fans helping to raise funds for the organization SPARK Reproductive Justice NOW.

    Devendra Banhart has announced a 23-city North American tour for autumn 2019, beginning October 15 in Ventura, CA, and continuing through December 8 in Philadelphia, with stops in Chicago, Austin, Brooklyn, Washington, DC, and more. Banhart has partnered with PLUS1 so that $1 from every US ticket sold (excluding Austin) will go to World Central Kitchen, an organization founded by José Andrés to fight hunger around the world. With every ticket bought in Canada, $1 will go to support Rainbow Railroad to help LGBTI people around the world escape persecution and violence.

    Rhiannon Giddens, who begins her four-night residency with the Boston Pops titled Redefining American Music tonight, stopped by Boston's Museum of Fine Arts to perform a few tunes in the museum's Musical Instruments Gallery. She takes a look at the MFA's historical banjo collection and plays one of the banjos and sings, with Carolina Chocolate Drops' Hubby Jenkins on bones and Jason Sypher on bass.     After a sold-out, year-long critically acclaimed international tour, David Byrne’s American Utopia will play a strictly limited engagement on Broadway at the intimate Hudson Theatre, October 4, 2019, through January 18, 2020, with the official opening set for October 20.     The lineup for the 2019 Lincoln Center Out of Doors festival has been announced, and featuring among the performers taking the stage of the Damrosch Park Bandshell for the free series this summer are Rhiannon Giddens and Yola. Rhiannon Giddens will take part in NPR Music’s multi-artist Turning the Tables Live: The Motherlode on Wednesday, July 31, and Yola will help close out the season in The Roots of American Music Weekend: Americanafest NYC, performing on Saturday, August 10, ahead of Patty Griffin.

    Yola begins a three-week UK tour in Glasgow tonight. The tour, which features music from her debut album, Walk Through Fire, continues in Perth, Aberdeen, Gateshead, Shipley, Manchester, Nottingham, Birmingham, London, and Brighton, culminating in her hometown of Bristol on June 1. She also announces new autumn tour dates in Europe, in Berlin, Hamburg, Milan, and Paris, and a return to Dublin, Glasgow, Manchester, and London.
