Stanford Live has announced its 2019–20 concert season, and featured among the performers taking the stage at Bing Concert Hall in Stanford, California, are several Nonesuch artists: Brad Mehldau, Kronos Quartet, Laurie Anderson, and Rhiannon Giddens with Francesco Turrisi.

The eleven-concert tour begins in Brownfield, ME, on July 25 and features towns in which she has never performed. "We're looking forward to seeing the rocky coast of Maine, the green rolling hills of Vermont, the historic village squares and white-steepled churches of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Connecticut," says Merchant. "I imagine we will meet many locals and visitors seeking the same sort of experience that we are, and I expect the audiences and the settings will inspire us."

"I wrote 'Little Love' as a looping study on guitar and always wanted to release a version that reflected the original concept," he says of the new “ruined lace edition” of that Book of Travelers track. "'Trophy Longhorns' appears as a solo piano tune in the staged version of Book of Travelers," he says of the other new track; "it didn't fit emotionally or aesthetically with the rest of the album, but I thought it should see the light of day."
