    Robert Plant and his band the Sensational Space Shifters were on the Later… With Jools Holland live show on BBC Two. They performed two songs from the new album Carry Fire, out this Friday: "Bones of Saints" and "New World…" You can watch them perform both here, and tune in to BBC Two again this Friday for the full, one-hour episode of Later for more. The show calls it "a set of songs that combines some haunting tribal rhythms with Plant's customary inventive flair and sense of urgency." Plant and the band performed from Carry Fire on BBC Radio 6 Music live last Friday; he spoke with Lauren Laverne about the new album and more.

    Randy Newman stopped by NPR in Washington, DC, to perform a Tiny Desk Concert for Bob Boilen and the staff at NPR and NPR Music. The set included four songs from his new album, Dark Matter: "Putin," "She Chose Me," "It's A Jungle Out There," and "Wandering Boy." "I think Randy Newman is a national treasure," says Boilen. "Randy Newman paints lasting portraits of places and people, all the while poking fun and highlighting injustice, stupidity, power and humanity and he's been doing it for half a century."     Chris Thile's new album, Thanks for Listening, will be released on Nonesuch Records on December 8, 2017; vinyl on December 15. The album is a collection of new studio recordings, produced by Thomas Bartlett, of ten songs originally written as Songs of the Week on A Prairie Home Companion. Thile manned almost all of the stringed instruments on the album and is joined by guest singers Sarah Jarosz, Gaby Moreno, and Aoife O'Donovan. Pre-order to download the track "Thank You, New York," the lyric video for which you can watch here, and get a limited-edition, signed print.

    Camille has unveiled the video for "Lasso," a new song from her new album, OUÏ. The video, co-directed by Camille and Olivier Montoro, the team behind her recent "Seeds" video, was also made at L'Axe Majeur, just outside of Paris. Camille calls the video "an uneven merry-go-round that captures and frees at the same time." You can watch it here.

    Robert Finley, whose new album, Goin' Platinum!, is due December 8 on Dan Auerbach's label Easy Eye Sound, has shared the video for the album track "Medicine Woman." The video, which was directed by Alysse Gafkjen, premiered via Bilboard and can be seen here.

    Tigran Hamasyan launches a European tour, with music from his new album, An Ancient Observer, in Athens, Greece, on Saturday, making stops in France, Sweden, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Luxembourg, and Armenia.     Robert Plant has announced the first North American headline dates on his world tour celebrating his new album, Carry Fire, due October 13. The album track "Bluebirds Over the Mountain," with special guest Chrissie Hynde joining Plant on vocals, is also available today, as is a striking companion visual, which you can see here. The song was written by rockabilly legend Ersel Hickey and recorded by both Richie Valens and The Beach Boys. The live dates begin February 9 at Raleigh's Memorial Auditorium and continue through early March. Carry Fire is available to pre-order with instant downloads of the tracks "The May Queen," "Bones of Saints," and "Bluebirds Over the Mountain."

He spoke with host Jason Bentley about his just-released debut album, Half-Light, and was joined by the Calder Quartet to perform several songs from the new album.     Rostam was on Conan on TBS last night, performing "Gwan," from his debut album, Half-Light. You can watch it here. He takes part in a live session on KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic today. Rostam will perform at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in NYC on Wednesday and at The Growlers Six festival in LA on October 28 and will tour Europe in November.

Amidon launches an extensive tour in Seattle on Saturday, followed by shows in Portland (OR), San Francisco, LA, Boulder, Chicago, DC, NYC, Portland (ME), and more. The European tour begins in October.

    Rostam gives a quick look inside the vinyl package of his debut album, Half-Light, out next week, in a new video here. The vinyl includes the album on two discs and a fold-out poster with the album art on one side and handwritten lyrics on the other. Nonesuch Store pre-orders also come with an additional, limited-edition, autographed print and instant-downloads of six album tracks, including the just-released title track.

    Rostam has shared the title track to his debut album, Half-Light, due September 15 on Nonesuch. You can watch a lyric video for the new track here. The track is available to download now with pre-orders of Half-Light, along with five previously released album tracks. Rostam will mark the album's release with events at Amoeba Hollywood and Seattle's Easy Street Records, and in concert at the Music Hall of Williamsburg.
